Hi, I’m trying to submit my first deal.
There is no relevant URL - there is only a screenshot.
I’ve selected the image to upload, but when trying to click the submit button, I get an error about not having provided a URL.
But I don’t want to add a new URL, because there isn’t one. There is just the screenshot.
Is this a known issue with the website? Is there a simple way to get around this?

On the Submit deal form, look for this message underneath the URL/Link text box.
Link directly to the website - thumbnails will be generated automatically. Upload an image or document only if no direct link exists.
Left click the linked text in blue Upload an image or document and the following will appear.
Media file uploader is for uploading vouchers, catalogues, photos, receipts, etc. Please do not use it to upload product images or screenshot of websites — link directly to the site instead.

or drag it here.
Upload or drag the photograph/screenshot and the correct URL will be entered into the URL/Link box. Continue to fill in the remainder of the submission form.
Thank you! It looks like the image uploader doesn’t work, as that’s what I tried and still got the “must provide URL” error. The uploader didn’t populate the URL field.
But I looked at the 2014 post you linked and uploaded a file under My Account, and then used the URL for that file.

In order to upload a screenshot, you generally need to also link an alternate store which the offer is from.
When you upload or link an image, it should pop up and you can pre-fill it with a store url or similar and it should work.
Otherwise you might just need to Talk with a Moderator to get the deal published.
