Worked for South Melbourne. Thanks OP!

    • +2

No worries! It sucks I can't use this… but I'm glad others can benefit off it.

      • +1

        Doing the lord's work.

      Mine arrived rock hard.

      • +17

        That's what she said

      • +4

it's not how you arrive that matters it's how you finish

      • Same.

      • Was the delivery driver a hottie?

    • +2

They’re ridiculously quick, have used a few times in the past and it’s more like 5mins instead of 10

      • Are you talking about the delivery or sharing bedroom stories?

  • -8

this makes me laugh since it never gets hot in NSW or VIC, this should be something offered to Queensland where it actually gets hot.

    • +3

Well here's a laugh back at you, kungfuman in Brisbane!
      Check your "facts" first!

it never gets hot in NSW or VIC

      Highest recorded temps (from BOM):
      NSW Sydney 46.3°C (52.0°C unofficial)
      VIC Melbourne 46.4°C

Queensland where it actually gets hot

      QLD Brisbane 43.2°C
(Temperature is moderated by higher humidity, which can make it "feel" hotter)

Even highest Temps recorded in regional NSW & Vic are higher than regional QLD!

      So not true👎

Pointless, as SEND doesn't deliver outside very limited areas of Sydney & Melbourne.

      • Heat is real in Brisbane tbh…. Brisbane Heat is very unpredictablely predictable, hot and muggy everyday in summer unlike NSW and VIC

        • +1

I know - I've lived in Brisbane for years. Had the aircon on for an hour before the storm hit this afternoon. Was only 31C, but very humid.

It's definitely not "hot and muggy everyday in summer" at you claim.
Mean maximum temp Dec & Jan is 29C, with only an average of 8days/mth of rain.
This summer has been unseasonably wet & humid, but there were days with maximum temperatures in the mid 20's & lower (40-50%) humidity. Depends on your location.

As I commented, Brisbane has higher humidity, which can make it "feel" hotter.

But Sydney & Melbourne can have hotter days - by temperature records. I've experienced temperatures in the 40s there & it's bloody hot. Was even hotter (46C) when travelling the Hay Plain, NSW.

So the original claim that it never gets hot in NSW or VIC is absolute BS.

      • -2

Lived in Sydney 4 years thats a load of crap temps vs dry heat and humidity in this case 30 degrees humid wins over any temp in Sydney never gets humid in Sydney is no where near the heat intensity of Queensland. Temps on paper don’t conpare to what kind of heat u feel and Sydney especially is no where near a tropical climate like Queensland.

        • Many disagree with you.

Your claim was "it never gets hot in NSW or VIC" which is clearly incorrect! Dry heat in the 40s is bloody hot & dangerous to life - people die due to the heat!

"above 41C, the body starts to shut down. Chemical processes start to be affected, the cells inside the body deteriorate and there is a risk of multiple organ failure"!

I've lived with both hot & dry & not as hot but humid. Different people cope better with either.
Maybe return South if you don't like the humidity… It seems to be getting to you!!

High humidity at the lower Brisbane temperatures, mainly makes things very uncomfortable as sweating is ineffective.
So people may "feel" hotter without being actually hotter. How we "feel" is subjective & differs between people - not an accurate measure!

Obviously, Sydney does get humid (it does rain there)!

Brisbane where your profile shows you (& I) live… is classified as subtropical, not tropical.
But certainly is not as humid as rainforest areas just across the border in Northern NSW!

          Again, check your facts first!

Seems you were just bitter that we didn't get $1 ice creams delivered in Brisbane. But it was never going to happen. The company doesn't even deliver to many areas of Sydney & Melbourne! So pointless complaining!!

  • Can't add my address, even within the green zone listed on their app…

  • I got to the end then it says they cannot process the order. Collingwood

    • Try another flavour.

      • +1

        Thanks that worked

  • Can't use promo codes/referral codes with the deal

    • referral code is used when you sign up, isn't it?

      • Not sure about referee but I couldn't use a $10 referrer.

I guess if you sign up you'll have to use it on a later order.

  • $3 delivery for me

  • +2

Ordered and the bloke deadset rocked up with the icecream in under 5mins. Thanks OP.

  • +6

I think my delivery person was 1 minute late and the manager of the company called to apologise 😕

    • Should have refunded you for that terrible service.

    • I just got a call too but after the delivery had been made. She apologised as apparently they've been bombarded with orders and I said not to worry I already got my icecream.

    • Definitely expected more for my $1..

    • +3

I am impressed by this company. From my understanding it's am hourly rate they pay their riders, and the service is exceptionally quick (unlike Uber Eats etc…)

  • Woop. Just saw this bargain 20 mins ago and received my rock hard Ben and Jerry’s a min ago and that’s with 5 mins of reading the comments. Amazing.

  • *One tub per customer.

    • As a truly ozb, you must have > 1 email and > 1 phone number😁

  • +1

Thanks for sharing this - perfect whilst I have to isolate with Covid :(

  • Just got two delivered (two accounts). Thank you.
Tried with a third and would not allow us.

  • Wow I’ve been waiting more than 15 mins and he still hasn’t showed up

    • Same, I think we broke it.

      • Yep, also waiting, and its been over 20 minutes. I live literally next door to Ben & Jerrys, but its stuck on Packing. Its not too wet outside.

Eidt: Got a call from SEND and it seems it is correct, apparently they have a high volume of orders right now.

  • Took a few tries to place the order but I just had it delievered in South Yarra

  • +1

9 minutes! It is the fastest delivery I ever received.

  • "Sorry we cannot deliver the order at this time. Please try again later!" Spent 20 mins browsing and making an order, lol. Bummer.
    Cheers OP.

    • Looks like it may have been ozbargained. Got a call from SEND and they said there was a large number of orders. Also, possibly because of the wet weather and Friday does not help. Wait time for me is 50 minutes and still stuck on Packing.

      • Might be yeh. Mine is a new store in Melbourne apparently, sent them an email since I couldn't really see any trading hours on the website. Will definitely give it a go when it lets me.

  • Should have signed up with a promo code from deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/683619

In Gladesville Sydney and not available, doesn't deliver. Thought it might count as North Sydney, but apparently not.

    Good deal though.

  • Finally got an order this morning, even selected <=45mins wait for 5% off, still came in 10 mins on a motorised pushy. Great people too, recommend.

    • Gave them a try yesterday, and it was less than 10 mins. Was amazed, and a great SEND experience. First saw this concept a long time ago on Shark Tank, now we have a lot of choices.

      • Whenever I'm filling up my tank at the servo these days I see drivers picking up bags of energy drinks and snacks to deliver to people at home. I always think why would you pay for delivery AND servo prices for that kind of convenience. Still convenient at times and they have some nice chips ans snacks I haven't seen in the supermarkets.
