  • Just confirming the process so I don't actually cancel my account - i go into account, select delete account at the bottom and now it's asking for a reason. after i specify this should it give me the $5 offer?

    • Yes it should come up with a pop up. Accept and go back

      • Thanks it worked - $5 credited

  • How many times can you try cancelling and accepting a $5 kickback for staying on their books?

    Who’s up for a challenge?

    • +7

Once. I ended up canceling mine the second time trying to get it. That’s how I found out the new user credit is higher 😂

      • +1

that's hilarious haha. thanks for the laugh

  • +5

I thought this was a discount on vasectomies

  • There is a reward code to use… "Ka…" something
It appears as though it just automatically applies this code but I didn't catch it all. Next person who tries this, try to take notice of the reward code. It might be easier and safer to apply this than go thru the cancellation process

    • +1

Mine was M3aX and confirmed the same with a mate, but I believe it doesn't work unless you click through the delete account and apply it that way, don't think there's an easy way to just apply it.

      • I would have thought it be under "Sniip Rewards" section …
Either way .. thanks for checking/confirming!

  • try on my app on Android phone, nothing popup

    • Oh, it could be limited to iOS then. Hopefully someone else can confirm

      • +1

        Works on iPhone

      • +1

Worked for me on Android. Just picked a reason why I wanted to cancel and then chose "Delete Account" and then was offered the $5

        • So it works on both then. Thanks for confirming

        • does that mean you have to cancel the account?
          edit: got it, thank you

  • Says different rates to OP when I sign up - Debit cards 0.65% and Prepaid CC 0.85%

    • The rates are listed on their website. That’s where I copied mine from.

      • OK but above was shown in the T & C as I signed up (had to click agree)

    • +1

These are our updated Terms and Conditions that will be effective from April 1, 2022

      source: https://sniip.com/terms-and-conditions/

    • That from April 1st (already got their email for the changes). What OP listed is current one, so take ur opportunity before end of the month :)

  • +1

Thanks OP, paid a bill and got $20 off with referral - was very easy. Weirdly it said 'debit cards free' again after clicking through to pay, despite suggesting there were small fees when I signed the T&C , so who knows! Anyway, scored $20 off so cheers

  • +1

worked on android for me - new user referral ($10) and new user retention credit ($10)

  • +4

Thanks, had $20 in referrals outstanding and used BPAY to pay into ATO early to recover the $25 in the tax return.

  • +1

Thanks OP, worked for me and as a result of doing it noticed I had $30 in referral credits too.

  • Thanks, $5 worked on Android

  • It worked, also found out I had referred someone - Thanks Frank!

  • +2

Beem it can bpay with credit card, NO fee.

    • But not all BPay can be supported

  • android here. nothing for me (i have used them before if that is maybe the reason i dont eligible?)
go to account, bottom click delete account
    select a reason.
test with processing fee too high.
i come up with enter your feedback, delete account, or never mind i will stay

    • You need to press Delete Account at the end of it (on the page with never mind will I stay) and it will then trigger a pop-up.

      • ooo i was afraid it is the final one — ok works!!! thanks

  • Never heard of this site. Seems popular based on your comments. Went to site to see what you can do. Still unsure. Seems like what I do on receiving income, only more lazy. I'm sure that's not the case. What am I missing ladies & gentlemen?

    • +4

Its basically another way to pay your bills.
Some people use it in order to pay their bills with amex (for a fee) , and get points - especially with government agencies where the earning rate is restricted when paying directly to a government agency. This way you'll maximise your points.

      • Thanks for the explanation SmiTTy.

        • U can also pay partial, so it works for tracking the total spending. I used them with that Coles Mastercard deal previously to pay my rates (until end of this month, the fee is only 0.5% for prepaid which is OK)

    • bpaying bills is like going back in time, i have no idea why anyone would do it when direct debit is available. i'm only using it to get cashback on my crypto.com card where it wouldn't otherwise be eligible. still don't like paying bills manually like a chump though.

  • Thanks OP… got the $5 credit for not cancelling and had a $10 referral credit.

Paid $60 early on my rates bill, noting you can only use the credits on bills over $50

    • where do you see you get referral credit? under "snip rewards" menu?

      • Yes mine just had $10 sitting in the Sniip Rewards - Rewards Balance

    • +1

yeah, $50 if u use the reward, but that includes the reward itself, so u don't need to pay $60 if u don't want to. if u happen to have $50 reward accumulated, u can even pay 0

  • Worked for me, thanks.

  • It worked, thanks OP!

  • +1

Thanks, i haven't used this app in a long time. This made me log back in and I saw $70 in rewards from referrals!

  • +1

Anyone know if this credit expires?

  • "This offer is no longer available" :(

    • same : This offer is no longer available maybe i claimed it in the past

  • Ok other than these bonuses what's the advantage of using Sniip to pay bills in the long run? You get 2% cashback if you pay with HSBC debit at post office or some kind of a saving using prepaid cards online but with this 0.5% surcharge for prepaid cards and nothing for debit

    • it's marginally quicker for me. scan the qr code, pay. as opposed to putting in billercode/ref in internet banking

      • So its about convenience rather than saving anything other than time

    • You're right, for some bills there are better ways to save. But for some I've found Sniip is the best option. For example I was able to pay my tax bill using my Crypto.com card via Sniip (using Google Pay) for ~1.5% off (3% cashback minus 1.5% Sniip fee) which is the highest I could find.

    • So you can pay any bill with Sniip (BPAY) and Crypto.com card and get cashback? Or are there some exclusions?

      • +1

I believe the Crypto.com card is charged using Sniip's MCC of 7399 (rather than that of the tax office for example) which is not typically excluded or chosen for reduced points/cashback by card providers.

      • Yes you can.
The only exclusion I know of is Sniip don't let you pay ATO bills with prepaid cards (Which is what the AU issued CDC card is classified)

  • +1

How do I use the $10 I just signed up? When I go to the pay bill using credit card it doesnt deduct the $10 from the bill? this is the first time I signed up.

Or does the $10 only can be deducted after I paid my first bill?

    • +1

+1 for this… I’m on final payment screen trying to pay $50 to pay off Qantas Card but it shows $50 and doesn’t show anything about the $20 credit applying first? Will this get automatically applied in the back end?

      • +3

On the final payment screen after selecting a payment method you should see an item "Use Sniip Rewards ($)" which has a slider to tick or not. If you slide that over with the $20 credit, it will reduce the total payment by $20.

It won't auto apply, you need to manually flick the switch to apply rewards.

        • +1 for this, also, you need to restart the application again to see the Snipp rewards. Worked now. Ta

        • So I have a screen that says Pay / Schedule buttons at the bottom. Do I need to click Pay to get past that screen?

Just worried if I hit Pay it will actually pay it..

          • +1

@Moo Deng: Yeah the process is:

            1. Add a bill to pay.
            2. Press "Pay" on the Pay/Schedule screen.
            3. Select the amount you want to pay up the top.
            4. Select a payment method.
            5. Flick the rewards switch to apply your rewards to the transaction.
            6. Press Pay for the final total to finalise it.

You won't pay anything until you have assigned the payment method to the transaction and press the button at the final total (including processing fees) page.

  • Getting claim no longer available

  • No longer available also for me

  • As others stated. “Offer no longer available”

  • could i use the vanilla prepaid card to pay the bills?

    • +1

It depends on whether the BPAY biller allows you to use prepaid cards as a payment method.

For example, you can only use debit or credit cards to sent BPAY payments to the Australian Tax Office. As soon as you try to use a prepaid card, you will get a message saying the biller doesn't accept it.

      • thx. I will give a try!
