  • Is the new A53 a better deal than this?

    • Interested to know as well

      • Purely based on specs its very close. S22fe has wifi6, slightly better display and display to body ratio. A53 has a bigger battery and microsd slot.

      • The FE seems to have better cameras - a 3x optical zoom with OIS in the main module, standard 12MP lenses with good senses, and the selfie camera has EIS.

The A53 does have a 64MP sensor, however it's unlikely to be any better than the 12MP in the FE.

    • No idea, waiting for A53 to be delivered today. Bought it on during the pre-order offer posted on OZB

      s21fe > s20fe sd > a52s > a53 > a52 5g

      • You are right. No much different between 52s and 53, but 52s is much cheaper. Fe is upper mid Range and A is mid range. I just bought s20 fe for my wife at $630, even a52s only $488. I will go a52s if it can charge wirelessly. A52s is more than capable for daily use.

  • Are these carrier locked? Or can they take a SIM from any carrier?

Isn't it better to get local stock? SInce there is not much price difference when on sale?

  • Is it dual physical SIM?

    • Yep, the imports usually are. Aus models have no dual sim recently, pretty annoying

      • +2

Yep been importing for years due to this.

Having said that, more and more prepaid mobile providers are enabling eSIMs now so might no longer be a problem

Isn't 128 only with 6gb ram? 8 is only with 256. Could this be a special model?

    • According to GSMArena, there is a 8/128 model as well.

Also the $64M question - does this overseas model have the Australian carrier settings loaded? Otherwise you won't get VoLTE/VoWiFi on Telstra…

(my guess is - almost certainly "yes")

  • Is this really a deal?

I thought the S21 FE 4G was available for under $600 almost a year ago (9 or 10 months)

    • +4

S21FE was only released in Jan-22. I guess you are confusing it with S20FE.

  • Hey, would office works match this? Amazon also have $839, but not dual sim.

  • $16 more for Australian single SIM stock if you can get the vouchers at Samsung store. $35 less if you have access to Education/EPP stores, no vouchers necessary.

    • I see it for 799 at education store.

      • Must've gone up or newsletter sign up voucher is no longer applicable.

Has anyone had issues paying with NFC (or any other compatibility issues) using an overseas phone (non-AU stock)?

  • Crap, just bought one for 803 :D

  • $797.05 if you price beat Amazon at OW for Aus stock.
