  • Thanks OP. Been looking for one of these.
Does anyone know if this is any good?
I was looking at the Xiaomi 70mai Car Starter, after seeing some reviews saying the Gooloo battery doesn't last very long.

    • I've got one of these and used it to start my diesel Navara just last week.

The battery wasn't completely flat but had no power to crank (just ticking noises), hooked it up and it started just as quick as a normal start.

I've had mine since Dec 2020, first time I've used it to start a car, only used as a battery bank prior.

      • +1 have the same one and when I needed it, started my Ford Ranger easily - highly reccomend, saves you waiting hours for Roadside assistance.

    • I've used mine multiple times on my car and also on a van. Such a good solution.

How do u decide if u should get this 1500a or opt for 2000/2500 amp?

    • +1

If your engine doesn't need more than this then the main reason would be bigger capacity and higher fast charging wattage

  • +9

FYI:It has been at $89 for a month or so. Now they have just jacked up the price and discounted with promotion. So basically it's not a deal at all from the seller. I picked one up in Jan 2022 for $79.

Was $70 in December. Inflation or just not a deal?

  • Guys, Is this ok to leave in vehicle during 40°c hot summer?

    • No they say it kills the battery- at best it shortens it's life, at worst it swells and eventually fails.

    • +2

I do it, I just put it out of the sun.

There's no point in having this device if you don't leave it in your car. What are you going to do, drive home and pick it up before you jump start your car?

I just wouldn't use it in those temps, I would open the windows and wait for it to cool down first.

      • Absolutely agree. I leave mine (not this brand) in the car boot since 2014 and it's still working fine. I have to say that my car under the shade 90% of the time . I used it for around 5-6 times and only recharge at the start of winter. Battery shows 70-80% when I charge it each year.

    • Thanks guys, bought it.

  • Picked up the 2000a model recently for only $10 more, not sure if it will even be useful but the numbers are bigger so must be better, right? ;)

What's the difference between the above and this? This brand has more reviews for some reason

  • Thanks!
    Just ordered one ;-)

I’m using the logic of… if I have one in the car… I’ll never need it ;-)

I had found the 3000A version with $90 discount.

GOOLOO GT3000 Jump Starter 3000A 100W 2-way Fast Charging, SuperSafe 12V Lithium Portable Car Battery Booster Pack, 22800mAh Power Bank Charger Box With Jumper Cables for 8L Diesel and 10L Gas Engines https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09CPV8GJY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_N…

This one says 24 months standby. $169 after discount.

  • So I'm alittle confused about the ports. Even on their web site.

Do I have at LEAST 1 x USB with PD?
Do I have at LEAST 1 x USB with QC?

There is a mention of QC in one section of their blurb but not anywhere else.

Basically I've lost me 800A one and would like to buy this 1500 one, but would love to be able to charge both Pixels and Samsungs relatively FAST (not just 5V/2.4A).

    Anyone know for sure?

  • So I got the item today, definitely not that same carry bag as what's on the review. Just a very basic bag. A bit disapointed

    • Yep - simple drawstring bag - could certainly be better and nothing like the 800A Gooloo carry cae I bought before. The box is fancier than the carry bag!

      • +1

Yea! that's what I thought as well, box is way too fancy for no reason.

  • "It doesn't matter when the unit touched with small splashes, you just need to wipe it off, it can prevent splash water in life, but it is not allowed to immerse it in water."

Man this english was literally a joy to read. I don't mean that in a rude way. I had fun.

On a serious note, I need something like this for my car (3600cc) and my motorbike (650cc). This can apparently do both? I am skeptical. I've heard folks say you can fry your alternator (? not sure if that was the right bit) if you provide too much current.

I'm not very mechanically minded and am cautious to protect my vehicles. Can someone provide some further info?
