Looking for a Good Wireless Headset Solution with Very Long Range

Looking for a good cheap wireless headset solution that I can put on to listen to when my game queue finds a game while I'm at the other end of the house either getting food or expelling food in the toilet.

Need something with a lot of penetration and distance as my current standard Bluetooth headphones lose connection just outside the bathroom door and for the other one down stairs it cuts out a room before the toilet.

What is known as the best long range headphones.

Microphone not needed as I only need pc desktop sounds and rarely use the mic these days but if it has a mic then that's nice.

  • I have incredible range on my SoundPeats Trueair2, but in a recent deal others say they have terrible range and someone else abscribed the excellent range to the Simplecom USB BT dongle I use.
If you already have Wireless headphones that you otherwise like, changing the Transceiver could be all that you require.

(EDIT: I've had them working flawlessly in the carpark at my work at a range I'm estimating to be legitimately 30m through a few internal walls and the brick external wall!)

  • I've been very happy with the range of my previous logitech G933 and current G533, they use a wireless dongle so have much better range than bluetooth.

From my experience the signal starts getting spotty at around 15m and through a couple of internal walls.

    • Out of the two what were the major differences you can describe

      • In terms of range they were identical, both would start to drop out at the same spot.

The G933 was more 'gamer-y' with RGB and additional programmable buttons while the G533 was more subdued and basic. Both seemed to function pretty much the same other than that.

Build quality and durability of the electronics was average at best for both, I got the 533 when the 933 died, first one ear wouldn't work then the other eventually failed. My current 533 has what seems to be an intermittent short somewhere that means it sometimes drops out when not connected to power. It's still in warranty but I've just been lazy.

        • Which one is cheapest or what are the usual prices for these?
