Has anyone got any experience with the quality of blackmango furniture? Interested to buy a couch from there but there's no showroom to try it out and struggling to find some independ reviews. if anyone has any comments on there furniture it would be much appreciated.
yeah was very reluctant go anywher enear this price for a couch but was disappointed with cheaper options like Ikea when going to the showroom. The couch is the one piece of furniture I want to make sure is perfect because threes nothing worse than coming home from work not being comfortable.
Tried Koala? I've only had it a year but it's wearing well (in that it's still perfectly fine).
We went to all of the big, independent, imported stores (low, mid and high-end). We had a budget in mind but after trying our bums on so many, we were just not happy with the price, quality (I even researched the technical specs), design and timeframe (>4months, last year March) so we stretched the budget and went custom. It's not much more compared with mid-low high-end stores and it's made in Australia, eta was 3 months, received in 9 weeks during the pandemic (July 2021).
We also considered Castlery (modern design, great reviews, no showroom), Crafted (pricey custom, limited design, great customer service), Brosa (modern design, limited displays in showroom).
Our previous sofa (first starter lounge) was also custom made, but we bought it second-hand and it still looks great (some peeling of the leather but just as comfy as the first day, no joke) after more than 15years.
custom is definitely the way to go. my mum had custom couches made almost 20 years ago, they've survived 5 + moves, kids and cats, though the cats have scratched up the leather a lot, they still look great.
Could you share who makes custom furniture?

I got the Isla Wingback Rocking chair for the misso some years back and can confirm it's poor quality product from overseas marked up and advertised as premium products.
I have experience looking at their website, I can tell you it's expensive.
