Hi, I'm planning to travel to Vietnam which is having a rating of "Reconsider your need for travel". This has affected some travel insurance policies I have been searching, as it seems they wont cover Covid19 for countries with that rating.
Would anyone know a travel insurance policy that would cover for Vietnam?

Do you have an Amex? I think their travel insurance now includes Covid cover.
I do. But I bought airline ticket not through Amex site. I think Amex only cover us if we bought tickets through their Travel site?

It covers you if the full cost of the tickets was paid on the Amex. Doesn’t matter what site.
But the new policy only became available on March 15 so you might not be covered if you purchased before that.
I did not buy with Amex card either :-(
Does anybody know if you get a certificate of insurance from Amex if you use the travel insurance which is included with platinum cards?
From what I have read in the PDS you are just automatically covered if you purchase a return ticket using your Amex.
When I went to USA in January I found Medibank Travel insurance to be slightly cheaper than CoverMore. But the only thing I was getting it for was medical coverage not trip disruption or cancellation so be sure to read the PDS of anything you get a quote for.
