I wish the soy milky was on special - IMO the best tasting "non-premium" (bonsoy, hhsb, etc.) soy milk.

Have to agree, way better than So Good for not much extra. Bonsoy good stuff too though

    • Agree, did some taste testing recently and this came out on top. Added bonus it’s MADE IN AUSTRALIA!

    • Agree, best one you can find in a supermarket/at a low price. I even prefer it over Bonsoy.

Come on Amazon come on come on!!

    • Amazon doesnt do Oat Milky :(

Cheers just ordered 6. Cheap as and saves going up to Coles! Bonsoy is great but but not the cheapest all the time (only really use for one coffee a day). These other milks are handy for everything else as well

I really enjoy the Almond Milky. At this price I've got to try the Oat Milky, I've tried their normal Oat one along with some other brands (so good and Oatley), but I don't like the after taste. Maybe the Milky version will suit my palate better

    • +2

Oat Milky is my personal favorite of the oat milks. I'd definetely recommend giving it a try (much better for the environment than almond as well).
So Good Oat Milk probably tastes the best, but it builds up a paste of the bottom of the carton which is a little bit gross.

Gotta qualify that So Good with Barista - the standard / non-Barista version is IMO yuck, the Barista version the best. Give the carton a shake each time and you'll get no sediment.

      • +1 to your recommendation. I've tried a bunch and the ones which stood out (which don't cost a huge amount) were Oat Milky and So Good (though in my case it was Almond & Coconut). That being said, the oat milky was so much nicer that it was hard to go back to So Good, though So Good is fortified with stuff like Vitamin B12 which you'll probably need from somewhere if you're eating non-meat/dairy.

Oat Milk with coffee is the best thing ever, thanks OP!

WRONG! Double Coated Tim Tams are better.

I've found the barista versions of the oat milks are much better than the standard versions for a good tasting coffee.

Soy hasn't been half price for over 2 years.

    • +1

      :(

Also, the Coles organic soy for $1.60 is pretty good, but sells quickly lately.

    • yea, i noticed that too. has there been a soy supply shortage?

      • No. I think they've decided to keep the soy price as an every day price (for Vitasoy).

        • Vitasoy soy never on special anymore for years, used to be $2 very often. I just wait till bonsoy $3-3.50 Amazon s/s.

There oat milks (either one) do the trick in addition, and actually go pretty good for frothing/steaming in coffee, Cheers op

For espresso based coffee, the Oat Milky is my personal preference. Consistent quality from carton to carton, easy to stretch, holds texture, pours almost as nicely as dairy.

Chobani Barista tastes better but doesn't hold texture and batch to batch it's inconsistent. I don't do soy in coffee anymore because it curdles (though I love the Bonsoy flavour).

I buy the Oat milk for $2 each every month from Amazon, usually get 5 or 6 packs.

    • $1.35 is a good deal

  • waiting for price match at amazon

the rice milk is at the same price on amazon

I personally prefer the Oat Milky. I may or may not have taken most of the stock on the shelf… gotta be quick!

  • You guys are wild, oat milky is already out of stocks

    • +1

I got a Coles delivery this morning for specials from last week's catalogue, and everything I actually wanted turned out to be out of stock by the time it was picked a few hours after ordering yesterday afternoon, so I'd recommend going in to buy any deals like this rather than trying to order from online stocks.

Do you live near the same store as melodicdusk?

      • I must be! That savvy shopper them.

  • Oat mill OOS at my local Coles already… But don't forget you can ask customer service to get you a rain check voucher. The max limit per voucher is 6 cartons, but the service person might get you another one if you ask nicely. Just don't use them together.

    • Yup, same here. I'll ask for a raincheck next time though, thanks for the tip!

    • A rain check is a waste of time when you can only buy 6x1ltr cartons.

      • Amazon or go early in the morning on any day

  • Anyone know the difference between Oat unsweetened and Oat Milky by itself and when in a coffee? ingredients look the same except oat unsweetened has more oats and milky has some vitamin d

Oat unsweetened: Ingredients: Filtered water, whole oats (min.10%), sunflower oil, oat flour, gum arabic, minerals (calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate), acidity regulator (potassium phosphate), natural flavour, sea salt. Contains gluten.

Oat Milky: Ingredients: Filtered water, whole oats (min.8%), sunflower oil, oat flour, gum arabic, minerals (calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate), acidity regulator (potassium phosphate), natural flavour, sea salt, vitamin D. Contains gluten.

    • Oat Milky is more watery and doesn’t froth up well where the regular Oat Milk is thicker and froths up well.

      • Does Oat Milky taste watery? Like the thickness of the regular oat in coffee

        • I think so.

    • I've used both, literally very similar just get whichever is on sale, $1.35 is great.

Unsweetened Oat milk is also on sale $1.45 , I'd probably get that, more % oats

  • What's the best alternative milk one has for tea and cereal? Oat doesn't seem to really suit..

    • Try so good barista oat - gotta be the barista version, the other is yuck. $4 regularly, on special often enough for $2.80-$3.00. Or Oatly. - $4.50+ though and not on special often.

    • In cereal, Vitasoy Rice Milk! Best rice milk for cereal.

  • Dang I missed out on the oat milk again, I can't even get this stuff when it's not on special the shelf is always empty here I suspect some local cafes clear the shelves maybe or Coles just doesn't stock enough :'(

  • Don't worry if you miss out, highly likely it will be on special at Woolies next week

The local Coles was cleaned out early today, one bloke loaded an entire case straight into the trolley

    • Hopefully I make it to woolys in time :x, I'm not sure they will have more stock than Coles

    • It's like those pricks that take all of the cheaper pasta sauce at ALDI.

On sale for a week so I'm sure you'll get some?

  • Amazon price matched but set limit to 1 per order smh

    • Huh, can choose up to 6 in the drop down ?

      • only for Almond, not Oat.

        • Ah ok, it was when I ordered no idea why they'd limit it . Checked it since you said that and it's fine (prime)
