Has been cheaper before but still worth it.

    • +2

That one only has 1 type c - this one has 2 but your right I wouldn't pay extra $15 bucks for extra one - Maybe ill bite at $30 ~$35 ;)

      • Ah my bad you're right. 45W and 20W between the 2 USB-C ports if both are used.

        • Yeah i got the $25 buck one - very good - actually works for the s22 ultra 2.0 fast charge ( lol used to have 65W on the oppo )

Hopefully a rep will see and we can get this one for $30 ;) ;)

I've noticed when charging a tablet and phone, one via USB-C and one via USB-A, the charging tends to randomly drop out and kick back in.

I have two of these and the issue occurs with both.

    • +4

I was wondering if the quality had improved but guess not. I suspect these products daisy chain the USB ports causing instability. I had a few of these which I eventually returned within 30 days after they stopped working. Shame because they are well sized.

FYI. Here is my original comment from 27/03/2021 - 14:36:

Hi, just a note to let you know that I purchased this, it worked great for a week, and now it doesn't work properly. …. I suspect there may be a design fault, as the there is a similar GaN Charger (with various trademarks on Alibaba) with only 1 USB-C, and it is possible the second port on this model is daisy-chained to the first port.

    • Is it random, or does the already charging device stop charging briefly when you connect a second device? Several people have reported this as a “feature” of these chargers.

      • The stop start is there and is fine. Issue seems to occur afterwards. It could be the cables I'm using. I'll check them out.

    • I am unsure if this is an issue but certainly can be improved. I have one of these. When I plug the second device to the charger, the charging of the first device is stopped then charge again. In short, there is stop and start for charging when the second device is plugged in. Not a huge issue but certainly should be improved as I didn't see other chargers have such behavior.

this seems to be normal, I got a baseus one and an anker and both do the same thing. If I had to guess, I think they stop the charging to balance the power output between the ports as both cannot be outputting at 65w at the same time.

    • Seems to do it with a new device connected or when one of the two devices reaches 100%.

Drove me nuts so I stopped using them.

  • Bought the white one the other day
    Power house of a charger (using 2 x USB-C)

I see the voucher is gone now.

Wish they did a good deal on a 100W version, need one for my MBP

  • Anyone tried this for Nintendo Switch using dock?

    • I've charged the switch with a cable and it's fine so I presume it should be fine with a dock also.

  • +1

Prime is not required for this price or delivery (free standard delivery over $39).

  • is this good for charging M1 macbook pro?

    • I have done so, and it works fine.

      • whoops i meant M1 macbook air?

        • fine for both my dell and wife's macbook pro 14' so should be fine for a macbook air but may be a bit slow.

  • +1

I notice it shows the plug section as a click on Australian jack - does anyone know if you can purchase some form of travel kit or the other outlet plugs for this? Heading to USA would love if I could get this and just change out the plug rather than carrying seperate adapter.

    • There is one available with international adapters as well.
      Just more expensive unfortunately.

    • FWIW, this click on style appears to be pretty ubiquitous on cheap Chinese chargers. (I have another which is identical plug, diff brand).
If anyone know if this "click on" plug has a name, I'd like to know so I can get some spare adapters.

    • +1

The 100W version on Amazon comes with travel adapters.

      • Nice!! And this one is also one sale (43%).
Do you use this? Is it a good quality brand?
        Thanks

        • +1

I have the 100W one but have not used it yet.

I have, however, used the 66W one (slightly different from the 65W) and no problems so far. It has only been a couple of months though.

  • i had one and it had coil whine, bought another one and it didn't have it.
    Its pretty good otherwise

    • Did you return the one with coil whine?

      • yeah amazon returns are great

  • bough 2 on the last deal at a cheaper price. One died after 3 days and the other got the same "drop off/kick in" issue as described above.

    • I assume drop/kick in behavior shouldn't harm our devices. Is that right? I have one of these. Thanks

      • Not sure harm the devices or not, but definitely annoying. Imagine your phone screen keep turning on and off in the middle of the night.

        • It shouldn't be on and off all the time. The stop/start behaviour should only occur once when you plug in the second device.

  • Gives fast Charing to S22 Ultra?

    • +1

Yes, this one does have 45W charging speed for S22 ultra. However the price should be cheaper as the all set including a free 100W cable and three travel adapters cost around $40. This one is just a single charger only.

  • got one thanks

  • are these worth it?
What devices would you use to charge these? these are POWERFUL.

    • It's literally on the product name.

Sammy S22 and Tab S8 charge at 45w.
Alot of Chinese brand phones go above 60w (not sure if their protocol is supported here).
      Various laptops charge at 45-60w.

  • I read on Amazon reviews that these Heymix adapters can cause the MacBook surface to vibrate when u rest your palm, mainly due to poor earthing. I've had this same issue in the past with other cheap eBay quality chargers.
    Anyone here had similar issues?

Also this one doesnt seem to have a the international adpaters.

    • i remembered my old mbp also does that when connected to original adapter.

    • That's standard even on the official in-box chargers. None of them are earthed.

You can buy/use the old extension lead and that one is earthed.

The 'vibrating' is normal and due to the metal enclosure. It's static charge. Only happens when you drag finger/hand across, not when it's still.

      • Yes that's true, it mainly because of poor earthing. However the vibrating is not supposed to be normal; Im not sure if it will damage the laptop.
The poor earthing can be due to poor cabling, wall socket etc. and also because of using two pronged chargers.
You're right, the MacBooks now ship with two pronged chargers too.

        I was considering getting this:

        @zoltanc 22 hours ago
The 100W version on Amazon comes with travel adapters.

Doesn't look like these Heymix chargers have a 3 pronged extension lead.

  • Anyone a bit sus on this brand? for 65+w its a bit risky using a no-brand charger right? would rather trust Anker or Belkin

    • +1

All the products are made in China. Anker is a Chinese brand while Belkin is owned by Foxconn which is a Taiwanese company. Therefore, I don't think there's much between the products as long as they all meet the relevant safety certifications.

      • Anker and Belkin offer a lifetime warranty on some devices or at least 1-3 years.. vs HEYMIX's statement "we have perfect aftermarket service, u can free return and full money back. If u have some problem while using, Pls contact us and we will improve our product." sounds like a kid wrote that

    • This one is generic, but it's still branded. I'm using the same 65W charger from Aliexpress, but with literally no brand on the product.

Still works well for single device.

  • +1

I brought this charger last month and used it to charge my Thinkpad laptop and Poco phone. Working flawlessly so far and have no issues yet.

  • I had this (white version) and had to make a warranty claim that they honored (Yay, I bought it in June). I have since gotten the stubbier one as it protrudes out less from the wall socket.
Both work fine for phones, Ultrabooks, iPad pro, and laptops. some devices may use slow charge if it needs more than the 65w supplier by this charger.

  • Bought this one last June. It's cheap, but not steady.

    • +3

What does that mean?? Did you have lots of problems with yours?

  • I received mine from last deal and it is much smaller than I thought, perfect charger specially for travel.

  • Thanks got the white version at 39. Does anyone has good cables to recommend for these ?

  • Saw these on special: https://homekitaustralia.com.au/products/65w-gan-usb-c-thund… - amazingly cheap price, have some of their other kit and has been decent quality

    • +1

this one doesn't come with a cable, so don't forget to +$10 at your cost for a 100W USB-C cable

      • the one in the deal doesn't come with a cable either !? 😐

  • +2

are there much difference between cheapo GaN 65W charger vs Heymix?
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003504832084.html?spm=a2…

    • One less usb c?
      Amazon got better support?

    • You are paying extra for the warranty and the support. Good luck getting any after-sales service from any overseas Chinese company.

  • +2

Anecdotal I know, but I’ve had three heymix chargers and over a period of a year they’ve all slowly died on me. I’ll be sticking with a known brand like Anker from now.

    • Any place to buy the newest Anker GaN charger (series 7) in Australia?

  • just used it today and it gets extremely hot, is that normal for GaN chargers?
