  • We are holding less than 5% of profit to post up this deal, hope to get some attention and brand awareness. Ezviz have been tested performing very well and making some great products recently, we will try to source more competitive products and price in The future if we can. Thanks

    Cheers

  • I'm curious, so I dug a little.

The ebay listing says 30 fps, the specs say 15 fps. Is it because the listing has two cameras? ;)
The cameras are 2.4G over Wi-Fi, so is the base, additionally to a RJ45 cable, it seems.

    One picture has this description:

Operating through cable connection, the base station ensures that the BC1 cameras can enjoy a more stable internet status even at long distances, which also helps extend the cameras’ battery life."

which doesn't make sense at all if the cameras need to be within the wifi range, to my understanding.

I also found this (older?) EZVIZ base station, which tries to make impression it has a built-in battery, but just like the one here, it doesn't really have one. So, like with many brands, there's still that problem of power which can be switched off by anyone in the fuse box on your porch in many houses.

I appreciate that the OP speaks of the 365-day battery life as "claimed [by the manufacturer]" instead of repeating some bold and unreliable marketing slogans.

From my little calculations, it seems that the "impressive 12,900 mAh" is going to last a year if the power consumption is at 1.5mA, which might be a veeeeery low-power standby mode. 1.5mA times the assumed 5V would be 0.005W of power. Happy for someone to correct me or elaborate here.

thanks for your comment and we will try to get Ezviz to clarify their ad, additional to your battery enquire, it doesn’t have a battery built inside the base, only the two cameras do, and based on office testing, for 10 triggers a day/ 10-15 sec recording, it has last over 6 month already with 35% left still, therefore it is very close to their lab test result, of course more motion and trigger would significantly effect the performance of battery cameras, in which case we would highly recommend customer to go through wall plugged unit if that suits their needs better.
