I don't think this watch works in that way. It doesn't have it's own sim or anything so you wouldn't connect your watch to the car, you'd connect your phone to the car.
Edit: Sorry, I see what you're saying. I only have messages coming through to my watch, not calls but when using Android Auto the car definitely takes the priority of these. Not sure about calls.
The Huawei watch acted like a Bluetooth calling headset. Sound for calls routed to the watch mic and speaker. My phone still sent calls to the watch even when it was connected via Bluetooth and cable to my android auto head unit. A Google showed this was a known issue. I'm wondering if the same happens with this watch. I'm assuming it's using Bluetooth to act as a speaker/microphone for calls.
I'll test it in a bit and let you know.
Thanks. From what I have read, it seems there's no way to prioritise which Bluetooth device gets used for call routing.
Same on Amazon. but one colour only
New Google watch coming out to replace this?
Does this play nice with android auto? I tried a Huawei watch gt2 that acted as a Bluetooth speaker and mic for phone calls. It blocked calling via my android auto head unit. I couldn't find a way to prioritise Bluetooth devices.
