Suggestions for Making Home Modern?

The 1970s brick house in Perth

Need routers for a 3 bed (120m2) double brick house. (NBN connected), want some recommendations for routers.

I want to replace the deadlock with a Smart Lock, any recommendations? brand and model? is Eufy good?

Any good dryer, fridge, washing machine on discount?

Want to also install solar power panels and also a Tesla Powerwall2. Is 6.6kw enough? what is the normal price?

Need also smart garage door opener etc.

Also, need a barbeque burner ( is electric one better?)

also want to replace the stupid mailbox with a safety drop parcel box, I don't know if anyone sells such a thing?

Any more suggestions?

    Some interesting "needs" in your request.

    There's been some posts on reddit about the power wall. The tarrifs arent good enough to justify the expense.

    Electric BBQs are never as good as gas.

    I've got a lock box and it's pretty much useless. Amazon boxes are too big, and/or thrown onto the door step. you need something that is self locking, possibly self closing too

    Not along the technology lines you are talking but there are some simple and cheap things you can do to modernise appearance of these older places.
    E.g. replace handles in kitchen for cupboards and drawers for a modern look at low $s
    Fresh coat of paint on the walls, Inc painting architraves if you have old wood ones

    Too many questions. Go do some of your own searching and come back with some more specific stuff.

    Home batteries for solar storage are not yet financially viable. Total ownership cost is high enough that the payback period exceeds the warranty. Rooftop solar is good.

    Paint the house white and replace all light fixtures, door knobs and door handles black.
    All curtains are to be sheer white.

    Your in Perth, so I assume modern Perth would be the equivalent of Sydney in 1990?

    Aim for a cordless house phone and 16 bit console.

        Build your own mail box/ parcel locker. I built mine and it is 1.2m wide, 1.2m deep and 1.8m tall.
