Hmm, that says the initial launch went, not that sales have been consistently good in the years since (when bug discounts have begun to appear more frequently).

Kmart Maroochydore has the bowser ship on clearance $99 I saw people at the lego store dreamworld on Saturday buying them for $149. I didn’t post it here as I don’t really see any of these sets as a bargain to me it’s like the vidio range.
Did you miss out on the vidiyo mini figures at $1 each that sell around $8 .

Yeah I thought about buying some off the sets on clearance. Had others to buy at the time though.
At least the Mario sets are usable. It seems crazy to me that they'd release the vidiyo range, but have the app work on such a small number of devices! Between 2 phones and 2 tablets(all different models less than 3 years old) NONE could use the app!
Mario however, worked on all of them, and the kids love it!
My kids have loads of these and they use/reuse/rebuild them more then all the other Lego sets. Interactive Mario/Luigi character was genius…
Princess Peach out in August. Would think they'll release Toad, Bowser, Yoshi, etc at some point.
Potentially go beyond the Mario theme, release other Nintendo characters like Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc.
This theme will be around for a long time.
These Lego Mario sets go on sale pretty often.
They're OK, but I'm hoping this means they aren't selling as well as expected, only because that might result in them dumping the awkward Duplo design nobody asked for, and releasing the normal minifigure-scale mario stuff that everyone was hoping for.
