$25.37/TB
from the amazon us (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KTRBHP1)
16tb USD 302.99+17.87 = AUD 405.97
18tb USD 339.99+17.87 = AUD 511.22
I think 16tb price tag is a better fx rate, not sure if this is amazon au's system fault. :D
Better than Seagate?
i like seagate more if you're going to shuck, otherwise WD (imo) have better airflow if you're keeping the case. if you wanna shuck WD they have the 3.3v rail to deal with if you want to put it inside a pc.
I just want as external drive to use with macbook and windows laptop
3v rail to deal with if
not necessarily true. I shucked one and didn't need to mod the pin
Neither is better than the other imo. Just make sure you have backups and preferably another one off site.
I feel like I prefer the X16's over the White label WD's but not quite sure why…
Same, it's a higher tier. Slightly contradictory with my previous comment…
Thanks OP
Just as OP mentioned in the title:

That's worse case. I think 2-3 weeks is realistic.
It said this last time and I got mine in 2 weeks, YMMV. I've ordered another 2
Has anyone bought this before? is only us plug come with the power supply or there is au plug?
Wd comes with usa plug, seagate comes with interchangeable international plugs.
You can lodge a support ticket with WD and they will Fex Ex you an Australian adapter for free. Takes about 2 weeks.
USB 1.1!?
I think it is 3.0 according to the model#.

Is it cheaper to buy from WD directly? $299USD.
if there is lower conversion rate + delivery + import tax, then yes .
@s12321: How selfish of me, I forgot the GST.
Was cheaper in November. But still a decent price
