Isn't Metro Exodus made by A4 Games? A Russian company? So buying Russian game to support Ukraine? They should add games made by Ukrainian to the bundle instead.

    • +15

      It's 4A Games, and they're Ukranian.

Either way, don't presume to know the motivations of a company on the basis of their nationality, though if they were Russian they'd be risking jail time by protesting in such a way.

    • +1

If they are, the money isn’t going to the devs so I don’t see a problem myself.

    • +10

according to wiki 4A Games was founded in Kyiv
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4A_Games

    • +4

Does the nationality of the game creators even matter? If they've put forward their game, it means they want to support the affected Ukrainian peoples.

    • +16

No, you and people like you aren't welcome here. Read the room.

  • +21

Why aren’t mods banning repeat offenders spreading unsubstantiated nonsense on here?

I get that conversations get bargain adjacent, but there’s no place for those supporting an invasion that’s been almost unanimously condemned by world leaders and citizens.

    • You want me banned for having an opposing point of view?
      Nice.

      • +25

You're spewing nonsense… Russia clearly invaded on false pretenses. As have America numerous times and Israel too.

        • -1

Except the Americans are always the good guys eh? just like those hollywood movies?

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Yeah. They invade countries, kill locals then make movies about how that made them sad.

      • +8

Thread banning is certainly an option, and one I assume has been exercised several times already.

Your argument against Western governments and how they wage warfare falls apart when you lump this current conflict into the same basket.

      • You want me banned for having an opposing point of view?

Banned for have a stupid point of view would be a good rule…

        Same category as anti-vaxxers.

        • +1

          You're not cute anymore

      • +1

Stop posting Ukraine related deals / propaganda - they are not welcome here and nor are people who sympathise

Literally you, in the post directly above this one.

Between the bullshit misinformation and willful hypocrisy, thinking is definitely not your strong suit.

    • +2

Unanimously? half the world including the World's biggest democracy and the biggest countries didn't support it.

      • -1

Good on China and India to stand up to themselves, rather than kowtowing to the westerners since British colonial era lol.

    • -1

To preserve balance, coz we all sick and tired hearing one sided biased 'news' and disinformation crap. Sometime we want to hear the other side opinions.

      • The other side, like the Russian state controlled media side? Why not something more neutral, like Al Jazeera?

        https://www.aljazeera.com/

  • +6

Huge list of good games for an important cause!

Ps. Arnold Schwarzenegger made a great video about the war.

    • +15

Any interest in how the French government's surrender to Nazi Germany stopped world war II?

      • -2

It's the other way around, mate. The Nazis are in Ukraine.

        • +7

There's 100,000 nazi in Russia, why didn't Putin take care of his own backyard first?

          • +2

@Circly: Maybe he did, he just didn't tell you. Shall we ask him?

    • -2

      Yes

Zelensky is a coke addict and high on USA fumes

He should start talks and make concessions around Neutrality, Baby twins region & Russian language otherwise the Russians will end up invading the whole country to the Polish border (worst case scenario they don't want to make).

    • +19

Ukraine has the power to stop this war? By surrendering? Are you serious??

This is a nation that finally, FINALLY, after how many years of Russian/Soviet domination, now has their own independent state, and you're saying they should surrender to stop the war? After a much larger nation has ignored their sovereignty as a nation, your solution is for them to surrender?

Generations have lived under Moscow control - I'd say that much like other smaller nations of the world who've lived under the yolk of a larger empire, they've had enough of that.

      • +1

Russia: "Look at what you made me do"

    • +4

Why doesn't Russia stop invading? Stop murdering civilians? Stop arresting their own people who disagree with them?

Ukraine is defending themselves from a cowardly tyrant sending ill equipped and ill prepared young men to their death. Putin hides is his damn bunkers, afraid of his own close advisors, while Zelensky stayed in a bombed city, walks amongst his own people, with assassination squads trying to kill him.

    • +3

Russia should surrender and end this bloodshed.

    • Why can't we vote palpi and have peace instead? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3sxDlDxzac

  • Hmm… not sure I'm okay with a politically motivated bundle that opens with:

"Back 4 Blood" and then "Metro Exodus" that's opening blurb says "Flee the shattered ruins of the Moscow Metro…" Or is that deliberate?

And later it has "Starbound" which says "You’ve fled your home, only to find yourself lost in space" …

We may need to flee this planet - the way its going!

    • Whilst I understand your concern these are just the generic blurbs for these games on the platforms that they are being sold on, I think you may be thinking about it too much.

      • Yeah no, I'm not so sure, as if Metro Exodus about survival post a Nuclear War in Russia wasn't enough - I later also read there is a game in there MAKHNO about Ukrainian Freedom Fighters, This War of Mine about civilians in a besieged city, and another called My Soviet Daughter - Obviously these games aren't chosen at random for this cause.

        • Both MAKHNO and Soviet Daughter are novels about overcoming the challenges faced due to the crushing Russian regime. The bundle is called stand with Ukraine so that makes perfect sense in that regard. The other games highlight the brutality of war the impacts it has on real people and why we need to support Ukraine and its people in these times. Both of us can put whatever spin we want on the content choices and we will end in a stalemate either way as there are valid arguments on either side.

  • +16

Came here for games, and to show support for the people of Ukraine. Feels good to be able to contribute against the tidal wave of facism, repression & hatred coming from that part of the world. I feel sorry for brothers & sisters in Russia, who are now completely repressed in an authoritarian state, having their freedoms taken away and rushed back into the Soviet days.

Suffice to say, left with games, confused by whether the fat guy on the couch creating multiple accounts understands that the bulk of Aussies are more capable of critical thought or not.

    • -5

Facism, repression & hatred <—— coming from the West.

      • +22

        I'm all out of downvotes

        • +13

Only took me all of 30 seconds.

      • +1

Freedom, liberty, love <——- coming from the east.

Especially freedom. Russia, china North Korea is awash with freedom and liberty

      • beheading innocents and journalists, rape, using women and children for suicide bombing, female genital mutilation, acid attacks and honor killings <———— coming from some rubbish ideology

Gets triggered and commit murders over a cartoon of a prophet, nice going.

        • Dangerous territory mocking 2 billion people's religion with false assumptions.

          • -3

@alz: it shows how backward you are

  • +9

Warning: Don't redeem these too quickly on steam. You'll get blocked for redeeming too much. Redeem a little, wait a few hours and redeem some more.

  • Hey mr stampede!!

  • +6

Hopefully negotiations are fruitful and Ukrainians can get back to rebuilding their lives. Nothing is as disgusting as the Military Industrial Complex using Ukrainian lives to extract money from taxpayers. Surely arming the brave mujahedeen fighters azov battalion will have no consequences on the future of Ukraine. Can't think of anything wrong with propping up reactionaries with propaganda and weapons, I mean anything to defeat Russia right?

It's been a barrage of constant propaganda aimed solely at manufacturing consent in the west. Watch the Whitehouse press conference, absolute scum in the media frothing at the mouth at the idea of prolonged war so their ratings go higher calling for no fly zones (WTF) with no mention of de-escalation. Also to people saying Ukraine shouldn't surrender, it's easy to say that when you're sitting at your desk enjoying the weekend with your family but I suspect if you were forcefully conscripted with no contact with your family who was separated from you at the border weeks ago you might have different views.

    • +1

Thank you for buying the bundle!

    • +5

Ukraine might have to ultimately surrender to stop the war.

But to suggest the onus is on them to stop the war, like some on here have done, is ludicrous.

    • +3

I think the Russian government should stop invading and killing.

  • +17

These pro-Russian trolls are turning ozb into a shitshow

    • +4

      they got trump into power
this is kids play for them

  • Quite a few interesting games in this bundle.
I do wish there weren't any violent games in the mix though. I know that a lot of violent games make a lot of money and are popular but given the circumstances perhaps those could have been put to one side?

  • +7

Have played Satisfactory, KSP, Slay the Spire and Spyro. This is so worth it, will still be getting it for some others.

I'd bet my house that people defending Russia are the same anti vaxxers that criticise their own government. They'd end up in jail for that over there.

  • +3

Great deal with a good cause, good post OP

  • +1

Genuine question - does Humble Bundle's donations get audited?

"100% of the proceeds will go to support humanitarian crisis relief efforts for the people of Ukraine."

Or do we just take their word for it? Not trolling, genuinely like to know.

    • As scummy as ign is with their marketing practices on the humble site i dont think they would scam donations. Conning the customer gets complaints but conning where their money goes would get the feds on their tail.

  • +2

Insane amount of content for the price. Just the number of steam keys is overwhelming, some very good titles. The extras, will see if i actually use them.

    • +4

I think you'll find most people are not pro-war here, mate. Some are just choosing not to buy into the mainstream media propaganda.

      • +6

RT is Russia's mainstream media propaganda. CGTN is China's.

Repeating their propaganda isn't going against "MSM".

        • +1

Your head is not screwed on from the amount of Propaganda MSM is feeding you.

      • +10

Yep, far better to believe someone on YouTube who has absolutely zero consequences for misleading or false information.

It’s like the pandemic, 99.9% of the world buys into an accepted narrative and then a small group of keyboard warriors think they are enlightened because they found some dude on the internet that agrees with them.

And yeah, commenting on a video game bundle on ozbargain is definitely the best way to share that enlightenment.

  • most of the stuff here are trash, only a few like (5 games) worth playing, ive been thinking of getting back 4 blood just cause im a huge fan of L4d but standalone key is i could get for 35 dollars the rest i dont really care about, ive finished exodus already and max payne 3 those were bangers

    • just fyi, I got b4b listed for 25 in classifieds

    • How can you get b4b for $35? I’ve been looking but online keys are for Europe or the USA.

Xbox and ps5 versions are $30

      I need pc

  • -6

These are unwanted games, story line are bad. That's why they are bundled as no one plays them. Don't waste your time on crappy game. Better to get elden ring and play something more realistic.

    • +3

I’ve put a couple hundred hours into slay the spire it’s an all time classic as far as I’m concerned.

    • +3

Plenty of quality games here, just largely older titles. If I knew someone getting into pc gaming now I'd point them to this without hesitation. I've easily got a couple thousand hours between Kerbal Space Program and Slay the Spire. Not to mention the hundreds I've put into Satisfactory, which is still an early access game.

  • If anyone doesn't want Back 4 Blood in the bundle, let me know as I'd be interested to buy it.

    • Check classifieds

      • Thanks, sometimes I forget there's a classifieds section 😅

  • +2

Getting this just for “the usb stick found in the grass” surprised it’s not in the highlights

    • Thank you for your recommendation! Looks awesomely weird :)

  • Hope the proceeds go to the Azov Batallion :)

    • +2

yep, those nazis need the money atm

      • +3

Yep, them Nazis are preventing people from leaving their homes and using them as human shields.

        • +1

facts, western media does not report this shit though

          • @striker5950: yep fantastic thread here. bots upvoting bots.

ok nothing to see here folks

            move right along

  • good find, great games!

i'm not surprised about the disagreement on russia/ukraine. please watch oliver stone 'ukraine on fire' and 'revealing ukraine', they're 5 years old but explains a lot of what's being going on behind the scenes how how it culminated in the current tragedy.

    peace.

    • I'll quote this review to demonstrate why nobody should waste their time on these "films"…
"I believe this excellent objective documentary by Oliver Stone must be seen by all Americans. Ukraine is a very volatile country that seems to be controlled by very powerful Democrats including the Biden family, George Soros and others. This film explains how Ukraine collusion was used to try to keep President Trump from getting elected and to help Hillary Clinton get into office. Highly informative and in the end very very scary. Thank you Mr. Igor Lopatonok and Mr Stone for making this film."

Roger Stone is a Trump apologist, nuf said.

  • +4

Try not to get so sensitive or triggered over the trolls and the news just take life with a nice grain of salt and be happy and positive that we exist.

Life's too complicated for us to really see the bigger picture because at the end of the day we are all just ashes to ashes dust to dust.

    • -6

In life you need to take a stance and you can't sit around feeling luvy duvy and talk about peace.

If you want peace, you need to be strong to achieve it. Look at the USA bringing their peace and democracy everwhere they go.

      • +4

I wish you would tell us all where you worked. It's nice to be a keyboard warrior when you're anonymous. It's easy to type libel opinions when nobody can see your face.

        • +1

PM me and i'll tell you my address, maybe you and I can talk and have a cuppa

        • +2

pray tell us where you work. please.

      • I agree but you gotta know how to play the crowd. Ozbargain is very influential that way.

  • +16

Wow, there's a surprising amount of complete (profanity) morons on this site, hey.

    Bundle looks good, thanks op!

  • +3

What’s in the stand with Russia bundle?

    • This comment is still as ridiculous as 5 hours ago, when I first saw someone else make a similar one.
