Can't get the$20 off, did it work for anyone?

    • No $20 off for me either.

    • You have to be signed in for the bonus $20 off with $100 spend.

      • Signed in but still no $20 off.

Worth noting that this is the 47cm model, not the 57cm.

    • +4

I got the 47cm version last year. The original idea was that I mostly bbq for 3 or 4 ppl most of the time and this might save the amount of coals will be used.

If I am allowed to make the choice again I would definitely go for 57cm version as most of the 3rd party upgrades and/or OEM parts are only for 57cm version. Making it very hard to upgrade or making.

It's not exactly the same. Catch Webers are grey market so aren't covered by Weber Australia's warranty (which from what I've heard is pretty great) also missing charcoal baskets and hinged cooking grate.

    • Yeah it sucks how the official channels sell it more expensive, when catch can sell for ~ $190. Talk about price gouging.

      • Yeah but in their defence I've read stories of them replacing parts on 20+ year old kettles for free.

        • I've had the wooden handles replaced with heat resistant plastic ones for free

    • How do Weber verify that it is not an official AU product? Is it just that any bbq bought from Catch wont be covered? I dont imagine these BBQs have serial numbers.

      • +1

Serial is stamped on the top vent.

      • I have successfully registered a grey import Weber Kettle serial number in the Au Weber site and received confirmation of warranty. Never made any claims so far as these kettles are tough.

  • I bought one from kogan first promotion, paid ABT $133 delivered

  • After the BIC Weber promotion messup, i dont want anything to do with both brands

  • Do Weber grills on these units made of stainless steel or brass, coated with shiny matter?

    • Eventually they start to rust, they are coated to look shiny like chrome.

      • Then what are the other features that make people pay ridiculously more? Ultimately it is the grill area that gets used and cleaned.
