Cheapest 3080 TI iv seen yet. Not the best of cards but with a good undervolt this thing would be a pretty good performer.
Afterpay and eBay required.

Yes, but the 3080 Tie MSRP was ridiculous.
This card is even worse than the founders edition so below msrp is justified
What makes this card so bad?
It would work as a 3080 ti but that's about it. Check out this comparison for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaKXqQ5R7gY&t=813s
Still a decent deal if you don't plan to do anything crazy with your card
Oh god ozbargain I might just pull the trigger
hodl!
was more than 10 this morning, now only 4 left…interesting…
I managed to hodl… for now…
sold out now, ease ur mind.
Despite paying my afterpay bills way in advance my spending limit is only $800. How annoying.
Does a brand new account allow more than $800?
Mines the same, my limit use to be 1500 or so
My limit is $2,200. I've been a member since they launched, never missed a payment or had an issue. I also use it whenever its available unless there is a discount via another option (gift cards, etc.). I'm not sure how high limits can go with Afterpay. Maybe length of membership is what matters?
Buy shopback ebay GC to reduce it under $800 and save more.
"Digital gift cards are currently unavailable on eBay as we develop a better-than-ever experience to be launched soon."
With 3080's going for $1200 it's pretty hard to justify $500 more for something that you might only get 5-10% performance increase. Under $1500 would be a bit more desirable.
Agree, under $1500 would be more on par.
I guess the law of diminishing returns kick in here. This is more of a milk-me product.
HODL!
This isn’t good value when compared to the 3080 MSRP and Nvidia wheeled Jack in to make people feel better about paying much more than they should.
You’re getting 10% perf improvement at best for a significant increase in price.
the key with 3080 Ti is undervolting as OP said. the mem bandwith is basically like 3090.
it can perform real close with 3090 with the right tweaks.
And not on ventus, other brands like gainward have better thermals than this.
Can you briefly tell how to undervolt it? Just using MSI afterburner?
MSI afterburner, curve editor (bottom left). its trial an error for each gpu, try it till it crash.
do you have channel on youtube? seen you somewhere.
Ya right, thats cards cooler looks a cheaper than the Asus TUF 3080
for sure, its Ventus, I'd go with TUF any day. Tho 3080 Ti Tuf would be around $1800-$1900.
The 6900 XT at $1615 might be the better deal if you don't mind swapping DLSS for slightly better raw performance. Especially since FSR 2 is right around the corner. Or wait for another deal on original 3080…
If you've been holding this long I'm sure you can just wait for the release of 4000 series, your current voodoo3 isn't going anywhere.
Completely mew to AfterPay here, but may as well join in.
How does it work - can I pay whole amount in 1 go, or do I need to remember to pay installments?
You can make manual payments! I don't think you can go all in 1 go (but I've never tried). You can just do all installments one after the other in one sitting though?
You can accelerate the payments you will still pay them as individual parents but can do it in quick succession immediately
It's all automatic, you don't need to remember to do anything, and you don't need to pay the whole amount in one go either.
Afterpay will just automatically bill the 4 payments to your nominated credit card 👍
Great thanks
wow I bought mine for 2.5 in November

Hope your mining profits offset this a little
If by mining you mean the occasional mining on Minecraft…
around $100 roughly per month for 3080 Ti. almost $500, depending when he sells the coins.
$5000 if he holds for a few years!
The 3060Ti's are in the $700-750 price range WTF… their cheaper than the 3060's 12GB, thank god for 28 degrees.
Avoid cards with less than 16GB of Vram. They will age poorly with each new game release.
Name a new game that needs 16GB of Vram
Thank you OP - I somehow managed to psych myself up enough to buy one.
As hard a time as I give to non-lhr - he does have good points. If history is any guide, if you were able to buy an RTX 2080Ti for less than MSRP in March of 2020 - it turned out to be the right move.
We don't know how the future will turn out, but buying an RTX 3080Ti for less than MSRP in March 2022 might turn out to be the right move too.
Absolutely, especially with WW3 on the horizon!
Isn’t this $200 below msrp? Damn what a time to be alive.
