Interested in getting this mouse that is reportedly using the newer /safer USB receiver technology but seems not available locally.
Any potential issues ordering from this source? Or of anyone has a better idea where to buy this from?

What's 'safer' about it?
There's a vulnerability called MouseJack that enables a hacker to take control of your mouse and keyboard if you use a logitech unifying reciever.
That said, it's a hack of pretty limited usefulness - I think they'd have to be in range of the receiver, and the computer would have to be logged in, to be able to do anything particularly nefarious with it.

Thank you all for your advice and suggestions. I gathered the newer technology is only available to newer product lines or “business” series of the mx anywhere 3. I might hold off buying now and keep looking. Hopefully there will be more options in the market soon.
The xxxINN sites have a very bad reputation of products taking forever to arrive or never arrive at all. They are a business based in Spain that appear to dropship globally. Check reviews. Avoid.
