I came accross an old WhistleOut article that states that a Coles Mobile Sim can be used in a phone locked to Optus.
Is that still the case, does anyone know? I'd check with Optus online chat, but they're closed, and I need to get my Mum a phone tomorrow. She's been using my old Samsung S8 but it decided to die.

My experience is that if the reseller is using network X, then the sim will work on phone locked to X.
For example using a Boost sim in a Telstra locked phone ( I've done it a few times before that example but it was a while ago so cannot remember the reseller or network)

Being locked to Optus seems to mean being locked to Optus as the carrier. I'm unaware of any case where a SIM supplied by one of the other companies that use the Optus network hasn't worked in a phone locked to Optus.

How long have you had your phone? If you have it more than a year (I think) you can just ring them to give you the unlock code.
Amaysim works, so it's likely Coles will too.
