I've only dealt with Hobbyco through their eBay storefront but they left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, I promised myself I would never order from them again.

BUT this may have been a one-off thing, I can only speak from my experiences.

And what was it that was bad about them? Customer service? Damaged product?

Sounds like they may have tried to eat some Tamiya paints.

        • I only drink Vallejo paints.

        Poor customer service.
My order was unactioned for some time, then after I chased it up they told me they didn't have stock and it wouldn't be in for another week.
I know a lot of companies probably do this, but you would assume an eBay listing meant you had it in stock.
My main issue was there was no communication about what was going on with my order, even after it went beyond the dates it was supposed to arrive.

Clicked on two categories in the "sale".

One had only 3 products, all were meh and 2 were the same product, just different colour.

Second one had 1 product, was sold out.

    Sweet sale.

    • Yeh. Odd sale lol

I looked at their hornby train stuff, I can buy it from Hattons in the UK and even with postage its cheaper there. Total no deal from me

    • Is Hattons the cheapest option for Hornby? I’d like to get some of the Hornby Thomas trains for my kids.

      Thanks

      • I cant say as I'm not into the kids toys variant of model trains, I'd have thought BigW stuff may suit smaller kids as they are battery powered and rather safe for under 7's compared to electric, Here Is a link to hattons UK

There are a lot of rtr trains (battery) at Kmart for 90 dollars

If the kids are around ten, cheaper to get them "real" prototypical trains as there is not the dollar premium attached to the Thomas brand. If you want to discuss starting out in electric dcc stuff feel free to dm me
