The problem with Fitness First (as well as other some other gym's) is that there's no clear fee. Everyone pays a different rate when they sign up. So it's 10-20% off a price made up on the spot pretty much.
and its pain in the ass trying to cancel and make them stop charging your bank card!
This times eleventy kazillion. They will want to make a booking with a consultant, and of course have no spots available for a while, especially at lunch time. My advice - note, never swear or become abusive - loud tantrum at the reception desk and then immediately followed up with pointed e-mail to head office. Got it cancelled that afternoon - mind you, it had been month-to-month for two years. If you're in contract, well, good luck with that.

You're much better off tell us the price here and then we can determine if it's worthwhile. By hiding the price it just seems like a ripoff.

no, I haven't looked at it….. I have no interest in fitness first…plus the deal is expired, why would I look at it, or indeed keep giving it breath?….
and, for the record, modding is definitely not on my agenda…. whilst I like the impartial/diplomatic side of it…. I also like to keep the option to be obnoxious if required
You'll probably get a better deal if you go in in person, waste the sales person time for half a day, by the end of the day, they're probably accept $2 a week just to get your business!
