  • Check the reviews some say they have burned through after few times charging.

Also it is not fast charging.

    Buyer beware.

Always check the reviews first especially this one.

It seems that they skipped a lot of safety features to cut down costs.

    I wouldn't gamble on this.

    • Also it is not fast charging.

I seriously doubt that. It wouldn't support USB-PD fast charging because it's not USB-C to C. I can see how someone could make that mistake. No reason it can't support Qualcomm Quick Charge.

      • I am more worried about the AWG of the wiring used.

No idea if can support QC maybe a low standard.

        • There's nothing to indicate it won't support QC and considering it advertises 3A then it'll do 18W QC3 fine.

          • @Clear: Usually most cables nowadays support some form of QC.

The latest phones use QC5 I know because I had to source one.

I think some do 60W and then 100W not sure about the other variants.

Basic cables probably only do 20W maximum but I'm just guessing.

            • @AlienC: This will do 18W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Anything higher like 5A Huawei SuperCharge it would advertise for.

USB-C to USB-C cables on the other hand will typically support up to 60W USB-PD. If they have an e-mark chip then they can support 100W USB-PD Charging. QC4+ and QC5 are backwards compatible with USB-PD now as it's a requirement set out by Google to be 'certified'.

  • I've got a couple of the 2m ones with no charging or build quality issues so far for what it's worth. Works great as spares. Only comment would be they have this sale on quite often and it seems to be a little cheaper if you choose AUD currency straight up ($2.69).

    • Could be mostly user error most report the connector area breaking.

I saw a few saying it burned.

      That one made me reconsider.

      • Could be user error however I normally keep these plugged in (at the USB end) and just plug in the end to my phone as needed so not much stress testing on the USB side of the cable. Yeh, burning doesn't sound great haha, hopefully that doesn't happen. As long as the cable doesn't break it seems more likely that a bad charger would be the reason for anything dodgy happening like a fire.

  • I have a few of these and USB-C to c.

Works with fast charging and super fast.
Don't know about data transfers though
