https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-… better or worse price to performance, than the "Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC 8G (rev. 2.0) 8GB GDDR6 RGB LED Graphics Card - $989.10"

    • -2
      • not sure how that answered my question. I was comparing to the 3060 TI above, comparing to another card (3060) on the same site. I asked how they compared price-to-performance.

        • +1

best to buy that evga 3060 Ti from BPC, $189 extra compared to $289 extra for the same type.

price vs performance wise, get the Ti.

  • +2

Finally, a 3060ti under $1000. Prices are dropping, HODL!!

    • Didn't you buy the RX 6600 XT EAGLE ?

    • Hopefully next drop will be down below $900, keep them drop please …

    • +1

It was $949 weeks ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/686791

this 'deal' is showing price has gone up, so not a deal!

  • +7

And this 3070 for $1034 also seems to be a good value

    • +2

This is a much better deal than a 3060Ti!

    • Wonder how the noise will be on just 2 fans for a 3070.

      • +1
      • 3070 above better get 3 fans. Even 3060 Ti runs hot on 2 fans.

        • +2

2 fans are fine. lol. Just kidding, this is my gigabyte 1080 gpu after fan fail - https://imgur.com/a/vyweE7y#2emrYIs

          • @[Deactivated]: LOL. are they p140?

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: P120. And the whole system barely gets audible - probably way more silent than a liquid cooled system when gaming. And when not gaming i have to look at the lights to see if its on. GPU goes to 76C on a fully hot brisbane day.

      Is that LHR?

      • +8

        No, I'm non-LHR.

  • How does the SanDisk Portable SSD mentioned above compare to the Samsung's? Is it close to a T5 or a T7? Also dunno if 1TB for 110.60$ Delivered is a good price? I won't have specific usecases for it, mostly just storage and to offload things from my MBA.

    • +1

Any SSD for $110 @ 1T is a great price, the cheapest you will see a T5 is around $130 ish, T7 more expensive.
If you're just moving files, this is exceptional value.

      • Thanks! Bought it :D

  • Had to check it wasn’t Kingston FURRY Beast RAM

  • +1

Will Shenzhen lockdown result in tighter supply, hence RRP will increase once again?

    • hard to say but defs impact. Many cities in China are under lockdown and as far as I know, logistics has been reduced to minimum need only.

  • +1

    HODL

    Not kidding

  • 3060ti/3070/3070ti all seem within $100 of the corresponding model below? So what's the best option between the 3?

    • +2

If price differences are so close, I will go for the highest one of coz, 3070Ti

    • this 3060 Ti is even cheaper: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/686791

    • 3070Ti by far, it actually has more CUDA whilst not being important to some, it just means overall better perf. So if you are so close to buying a 3070Ti over the other 2, it means the other 2 are wildly over priced compared to the 3070Ti.
The 3070Ti will need a better PSU than a 3070 or 3060 TI.

RTX 3070 ti is reinforcered version of 3070 with GDDR6x vram and 256 more cuda cores

    • Get the cheapest nastiest 3060ti you can find, $750 or less. All 3 run the same core, they are pretty close in performance.

If you want to spend more, get a 3080.

Even worse deal than the one non-lhr posted last week. The same card was $631 14 months ago.

Better shoot the messenger before he informs more people it actually was $631 (and further devalues the gpu you couldn't wait to buy)

    • -1

shoot the messenger, coz you can't shoot the retailer or manufacturer. lol.

      • -1

But I am the messenger. All the people with farms (currently tanking in value) get very salty in ozbargain comments section when the messenger educates others about historical lows and hodling lol

        • The idea was farms people should hit ROI already, so their farms effectively free carry per se.

Unless they started late last year, which basically stuffed up badly now. 1 year ROI only works if you started late 2020, early 2021.

    • +1

that card was out of stock less than 8 mins after the deal was posted. it might have been $631 but only very limited stock.. i hope the card does go down to that price again but i wouldn't say that its historical low was attainable.

  • +1

Humbala It was frequently under $800. But with an attitude like that it won't be!

    Here's proof: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/593800

If everyone was equally misinformed it would never drop under $800. Which is my obvious concern. FYI there were multiple deals for it under $680.

    • I deleted my comment because you were right, it was under $700 when first announced.

But i won't call it 'frequently'. it was first released at 6xx in Dec 2020 and price are between 6xx to 7xx till Jan, when it is on ozbargain it sold out pretty much instantly. Then after the price has been selling at $1k+.

  • Hodl

    • LODH

  • 3060 non-ti $777 is that decent? Not that I’m buying yet…

    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-…

  • Oof that's almost what I paid for my RX6800 reference card ($969!)
