Both these carpet cleaners look awefully similar. Are they from the same sister company or so? Or did Vax straight up copy the Hoover Power Dash?
Curious as I was looking for Vax VX97 reviews and this 2019 result showed the Hoover Power Dash 2nd behind the Bissell Pro Heat 2x
Both owned by Techtronic Industries so it would be common to share some platforms through a simple rebranding.

Brilliant machine for the money. Replaced a Bissell that constantly leaked and Bissell simply did not give a damn.
My only note with the Vax is, use a really low foam cleaner or add some defoamer. The agitating brush stirs up foam like mad and the waste tank is only a 1/3 usable before it stops "sucking", otherwise brilliant piece of kit. Used it last night as one of our cats decided, yep the carpet is a brilliant place to chuck.
which Bissell are you comparing it against?
I noticed the hoover comes with the hose attachment but the Vax doesnt :/ would like to clean out the baby seat while im at it.
Not sure if they are sister companies, but it's also possible they both just got a deal for a certain model of vacuum from the same factory and then slapped their own logo on it. It's fairly common for a company to decide to add X appliance to their range and just shop around for someone who already produces that product. If you look at a lot of small appliances like blenders, coffee machines, sandwich presses, etc you'll see a number of unrelated companies selling products that are 99% identical to one another.
