If you can, go to an Asian grocer. As much as this is decent jasmine rice, it's always going to be cheaper at an Asian grocer (I paid $15 for 10k last week).

  I very much doubt it will be Thai jasmine rice at $15/10kg. Vietnamese/Cambodian rice is around that price.
