Firstly thanks to anyone who jumps in and helps.
I am looking at getting a new gaming laptop and am keen on the new Asus G14 and G15 which have just been released (but not in Aus yet). I'm also looking at something like this.
Any advice/guidance/recommendations would be appreciated.

The more portable the better (no interest in something with RGB or anything like that, but if it has it I can just turn it off)

It has been awhile since I have looked at gaming laptops.
The last one was the Helios 300.
But Jarrod's Tech on youtube has never failed me for recommendations so far if you don't already watch his channel.
Linus Tech Tips was where I learnt about the Helios 300 value buy.
Not a suggestion, just a tip - if you're looking at the smaller machines (14") check their TGP; it's more common to see the low-power variants of GPUs in these smaller models (and they no longer brand them Max-Q when they're low-power so you have to specifically seek out the wattage)
