Yep. Also got it for Ratchet & Clank. It said the code was invalid.
I contacted customer support via chat, pasted the email and said I wanted to order the Black Pulse 3D Headset but it was telling me the code was invalid - the agent applied a $35 credit to my account… got the Black Headset for $82.86.
Didn't really need it since I have the white one, but hey, I can always use this one on my PC.
I did the same and they said they would raise it with management and to wait 2-3 days for a response

Was going to pull the trigger on the 3D headset as they are $117 atm on Amazon but the code doesn't work. Watch them jack the price back to $150 when the code actually works

Might as well expire this deal, what an absolute joke. I complained to support about the fact it was actually cheaper the other day when the code wasn't working and just repetitively got told prices change and that's outside of their control.

Yes, the codes I got via email were the same. Can't imagine they'd work unless you bought GT7.
@Windslot: Ah ok thanks. Wasn’t sure if Amazon had the smarts to detect if a GT7 purchase was made or not. It clearly does as the code didn’t work for me.

Yeah. Spent 1 hour over the phone and live chat to get them to honour the original price. Had to jump through hoops and get their "supervisor" involved after I threathen them with false advertising and was going to report them to ACCC.. I'm not even sure if that was worth it.. oh well
So all that effort to just get it for the $117.86 it was before the price hike? Or the $82.86 we should have been able to get it for if the code worked when they sent it out? Either way I don't think they deserve anyone's money on these items after that BS move.
It's a pretty poopy thing Amazon did. You'd think they'd make sure the code worked before sending it out, and make sure the products are actually available (I don't think the white headset was available from Amazon AU at the time).
I got lucky with the Customer Service Agent I got on Live Chat, who spoke to his supervisor and issued a $35 promotional credit without any arm-twisting.
I've attached an image of my order with the price I paid (with any personal identifying details whited out). Hopefully it helps someone get it for the same price!
