Amazon is offering a cashback to Prime customers of $40 on purchase of Bose QuietComfort 45 effectively lowering the already discounted price.

$40 Amazon credit expires 16/5/2022.

    This isn’t really a significant upgrade over the QC35 II if you already own one. The deal is pretty good if you don’t own a pair of active noise cancelling headphones though.

    I wonder if they've fixed the issue with their crappy ear cushions? Every 12 months I have to replace them. I'm testing out third party ones to see if they're more reliable atm. Factor in at least $30 odd to replace the ear cushions if Bose haven't fixed the issue.

      Yeah mate I got a third party one on eBay for $10 and works really well, and still well after 1.5 year.

    I literally sold NC700s to go back to QC35IIs just a few weeks ago. There was no compelling reason whatsoever to get the 45s given recent reviews and the older QC35s allow me to music share with mrs.turkz1 which is a great feature when you’re traveling to share music or watch movies on a tablet together that neither the 45s or 700s have.

      music share like with airpods? ie. one headphone set plays music from the source audio, and simultaneously streams it to another set?

        Yes exactly like that. Only the QC35 I and II can do that. Bose seems to have discontinued the feature. Some android devices can do that natively but with apple afaik it’s either bose or shelling out $$$ for two pairs of airpods maxs

      I did a bit of research on both the QC45 and the WH-1000XM4, and ended up going with the Sony.
      I got a pair of "refurbished" from the Sony Store on eBay for $300 (they've been cheaper in the past, search OzB) and absolutely love them, the sound & ANC are amazing.

      The reviews I saw on YouTube obviously listed the pros and cons, but for me there were more pros when it came to the Sony, that's why I went with them.

      The refurbished pair I got appear to be completely brand new, there is no blemish, scratch or any other issue that I can see other than the box looking a little bit crappy due to them slapping additional stickers on it and stickytaping it up by hand.
