  Well that sucks, I just picked up a Yamaha Pacifica the other day for $320.

  Quite a nice beginner's guitar, better than anything I had as a teenager.

    so which one would you buy out of this list? they don't have yamaha pacific because.

      None. All those are very ordinary guitars apart from the contemporary. The squier affinity used to ok but has dropped in quality over recent years. I'd avoid.

      Look for a Pac 112 or a Squier classic vibe.

        Pretty sure the Pacifica Gigmaker pack is a 112 (mine's a 112J, although this might be a V, which has slightly better pickups & pick guard). Looks just like mine, except with a vibrato system, and is priced about right to be a V with the discount.

          @sortius: It would be a bargain if the gigmaker was a 112. But no it’s a 012 which means $359 is not a really good price.

      If it were me I’d buy the black contemporary strat with the silver pick guard. And then I’d put a black pick guard on it and black knobs and black pickup covers and black the whole thing. I’ve played this one and the roasted maple neck is bloody gorgeous
