Melbourne Cheap Eats

Hi all,

So we've migrated from Brisbane down to sunny Melbourne!

And yes, again I'm looking for cheap eat in and around the CBD and surrounding areas.

I'm well aware of Chinatown and the Asian found throughout the city and Richmond and Footscray area, but I'm looking for Australia, European, cafe and bar meals too.

Anyone know any places and which particular days(if applicable) to get cheap steaks, cheap pizzas, cheap pasta etc etc ??

    Here's a great one! I found $4 pizzas from Bimbos in Footscray! YES $4!!! and they were gourmet pizzas!!

      I think you mean Fitzroy. I can't imagine what Bimbos in Footscray would be. ;)

      Actually, Footscray does have some good cheapish food.

      $8 off a main deal on ALH hotels is really good. Had dinner at the Sandy a few months ago with a similar deal.
