hi all, looking for a workhorse laptop for general web duties and digital marketing type stuff, would like to stick with Lenovo as I like the ruggedness of them and they last a while - and we have a bunch of slim tip power adapters for lenovo which would be nice to use, if not the USB-C PD from a fancy monitor.
14 inch touchscreen and USB-C PD for convenience, 8GB expandable to 16GB.
512GB ideally but 256GB would suffice for the use case.
I would take a compromise on the USB-C PD but the touchscreen is a must-have.
didn't want to spend more that 1,200, maybe I'm dreaming. I've found this https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/thinkbook/thinkbook-ser… but it's a bit over my price range, could get it down to $1450 I imagine but still a bit much.
thanks.
I'd look at this seller on ebay, who sells refurbs with official warranties: https://www.ebay.com.au/str/thinkpaddevicesandparts?_trksid=…
I bought a Lenovo Yoga X1 Gen 2, which is a 2017 model with an OLED screen for only $1179 delivered.
To replace my two existing OLED tablets, a Samsung TabPro S which is a bit slow now, 12" OLED and small keyboard and mouse, and a Samsung Galaxybook which is similar OLED that my girlfriend stole to WFH.
The X1 yoga is awesome, I did a lot of research and I'm typing on it right now. I didn't want to spend $3k on an HP Spectre 13.5" or 16" when I know alder lake is coming out soon and another refresh end of the year as well.
It came in an official Lenovo refurb box with an original charger, and 6 months next day biz grade warranty. He told me exactly how much battery wear there was, and it's as expected, 5 hours which is fine for me with quick charge.

I just love an OLED with a 2 in 1 hinge and a decent keyboard. He doesn't have any more OLEDs in stock right now though.
Manly laptops on ebay also has the OLED version, you can get A grade or B grade.
Also if you want IPS, you can get it even cheaper, even a newer gen 4 that can run winodws 11.
But X1 Yoga gen 2 OLED is my sweet spot, it just can't "officially" run Windows 11.
