Is this the same? Appliance Central $710

    • Sure is. Good find

      • So I can visit jb hi fi and ask for price match then?

  • Damn almost what I spent on the q700a, good price.

    • how do you find the sound quality of Q700a? i just got mine a couple of days ago and i think its lacking in mid range in movies, netflix etc..The vocal is very clear and its got enough low bass but it sound alittle tinny when there is no sound effect. Tried adjusting the EQ setting only improves alittle. My old yamaha yas-108 has got better mid range.

      • Q870A is 5.1.4 system. it has 2 rear wireless speakers. 5.1 surround is better the Q700A

  • I have a 75inch TV with Sonos arc + Sub + rears setup in the main living room. Looking for something not so expensive for the secondary living room with a Sony 55inch tv. Its not used nearly as much so thought maybe a setup like this would be good for that room. Maybe there is something that's better bang for buck out there?

This will be alright for a secondary system. If you don’t care about rear speakers then Q900A can be had for about this price during sale.

    • If you don’t need the semi surround sound, wait for good deals on stereo speakers.

  • Pretty happy with my Yamaha YAS208B (soudnbar + sub)

I don't imagine this would be a significant upgrade, so I'm waiting for something like the Samsung Q950A to go on special.

Ideally a Sony soundbar because it would play nicer with my Sony TV.

For the people that do get this, what's the easiest way to mount the rear speakers? little L shaped bracket and wall mount or dedicated speaker stands?

    • I got this before the enormous price hike.

      • Gee that's pricey, what did you get it for?

$719 for those with access to Samsung EPP + another $50 off with newsletter code. $669 delivered

    • Shows up as $759 on Samsung EPP for me?
Are newsletter codes sent out periodically to people with access to EPP?

      • Are you on education portal?
        Epp is employer partnership program.
        Education portal is $759

        • Ah right, that explains it.
I am indeed on education portal.
          Cheers.

  • can someone help me with Samsung EPP access ? I would like to place an order for this model pls..Thanks

    • You need someone with an .edu.au email account

  • Did a quick google and came up with this website?
Never heard of them but… $671.58

  • Would these be any decent with an LG G1?

    • Mate any decent soundbar will be better than tv speakers.
Depends how much you want to spend the best if you want to spend more are the samsung q950a/ sony a7000+ sw5 sub + 2 rs3s speakers/ sonos arc +sub+ 2 one sl speakers/ sennheiser ambeo

Bought one of these yesterday, a great system. The rear surround speakers are awesome. The sound bar is a little tinnie in the mid-range, but for the price it is great. Atmos content is super balanced and crystal clear. Happy with it for sure.

  • Thinking about getting this but unsure if my TV has DDT+ passthrough (which is needed to seperate Atmos channel apparently).

Has anyone tried plugging their seperate Chromecast directly to the soundbar and then connecting soundbar to TV HDMI ARC port? Did Atmos content work? Are you still able to control the TV turning on when something is cast?
