Land Division and Building Duplex

Hello All,
I am figuring out steps and what is involved in title division and building a duplex.

I have been searching for a duplex house plan and really liked one built in Hurstville, how do I find who was the builder? I tried calling RE agent who sold the property and they had no idea. - sorted. Thanks to @TheBilly

Sold property has a floor plan, can I consult another builder?

How to find a builder that we can trust? Any personal recommendations? We are the first to build in our friends/ family group.

Any suggestions/things to do when applying for a council approval? We are in parramatta council.

Any help would be appreciated.

      That’s my plan to get the reviews of the builder and feedback re if they would have done/build differently after living there. Hopefully, they will answer!

    Try here. If it was built recently then they will likely have a HBCF policy associated with the address. That policy will then be associated with a builders company.

      Great, found it. Thanks a lot.
      Now the problem is, looks like they are new, they have only Hurstville’s property listed on their website.
      Will call them anyhow.

        The home building compensation fund is in Victoria as well so I would've assumed that the search works there as well.

      You were right, they are owner/builder for their own project.
      Need to find a builder who can do customised projects.

        Interesting… they were most likely a licenced builder that builds their own jobs. An owner builder cannot build a duplex.
