  • Best of all OnePlus are continuing development of OxygenOS. No more hybrid ColorOS crap.

    Skyrim belongs to the Nords

  • $550 phone that'll take forever to arrive with no warranty. Why?

    • +1

this is the OnePlus Official Store so the shipping should be quick and comes with warranty,
but the downside is u may need to pay for the shipping when u make a claim.

OnePlus used to pride itself as Flagship killer until it becomes the flagship

    • +3

A flagship for $546. That's the killer part.

I bought a nord oneplus few month's ago from Aliexpress, Software issues
Poor customer care.I won't recommend to anyone

  • How long usually take to order from aliexpress to ship to Australia? Since the international version of oneplus 10 Pro gonna release soon. How can people I'm Australia to buy it? They don't have any shop in Australia and all those sellers on eBay are selling the Chinese version.

    MediaTek, yeah, nah

      This right here.
Flagship and MediaTek don't belong together.

  • I bought the OnePlus 5 when they soft launched in Australia a few years back.
Software was pretty ordinary (quite a few known issues on their forums at the time, and they stopped supporting it not long later). ie. no new updates, not even security updates.
They were releasing new models very quickly - and the specs would be different, and their software team would have to support that version.
You might have an optimistic outlook and feel comfortable with what they are promising you.
    Good luck - YMMV

  • I'm still using my OnePlus One

I am writing this on my OnePlus 6. Had it a few years now. Grey import after one plus left Aus.
Love it, still get regular updates, still fast.
Only complaint is the battery life is now starting to fade. End of this year will likely replace with the OnePlus 10 if the reviews are good.

  • have had a oneplus one, oneplus 3 and now using a oneplus nord. Have been really happy with all 3 and my next phone in a few years will probably be oneplus

  • Going to call complete bullshit on that 65 Watts.

It's a 16 Watt Hour battery, 40 Watts would charge it in 30 mins to the detriment of battery cyclic life, 65 watts would be a horrible abuse of the battery.

It's a tall and frankly unbelievable claim.

I'd love to put my USB power meter on it and see the actual charge power.

Would also love to see how the supplied charger goes charging a Thinkpad which also uses a 65W adaptor….. that is physically at least double the size of the OnePlus one.

No idea how accurate their 30min claim is (probably not), but GaN chargers are much smaller than traditional switching PSUs like the ThinkPad ones.

      • They aren't that much smaller and they barely exist in consumer products yet.
The reality is you'd have a hard time finding one.
And by that i mean a real on, not something that says it has it on the label just for marketing hype.
Checkout a few electronic engineering vids on you-tube where people have done a teardown on devices claiming to have GaN fets but they don't.

The present reality is they have limited benefits and are too expensive to justify.

Many devices even have the FETs marked as if they are GaN, but their speed and resistance shows they are mislabelled regular FETs.

Not sure when you last checked, but they're not uncommon. e.g. Dell, Apple, Anker, HyperJuice, Belkin, Huawei, Baseus, and many more.

There's also the popular Zyron ones here that are much smaller than a classic ThinkPad 65W charger.

The only ones I remember being fake were the early ones with the longer larger design.

Hopefully someone does a teardown of the OnePlus one soon. It'd be disappointing if it was fake, as OnePlus has (or used to have) a good reputation.
