Been following this mouse for quite a while with the x superlight, doesn't seem to want to go down all that much, so this is a good grab.
I found the G703 relatively more uncomfortable. The hump of the mouse is a bit more prominent, and more towards the front of the mouse when compared with the GPW. I actually found the difference in weight was fairly noticeable.
I do like the ergo design of the G703, but I've looked past that and have thoroughly enjoyed using the GPW as my daily driver.
25k sensor only requires a software update.
How would a mouse like this help me if I play open world rpg's like Assassin's Creed, Fallout etc?
It's just a comfortable mouse, and light mouse. Less fatigue throughout the day compared to larger mice with more features
its lighter than most mouse (80g) so would help with long sessions, otherwise these light mouse are aimed at competitive fps gaming.
Ok, that helps me understand thanks. I play fps too but wouldn't want another mouse when wanting to map grenade throwing, crouching, weapon modes etc. to a button.
Depending on hand size you might want something wider, I couldn't do long hours on these narrower mouses.
Any suggestions for we big-handed folk?
I'm on my fourth DeathAdder. Tried all kinds of others and never found anything quite as comfortable but I still feel like there can be better.
Thinking about a Zowie (?) Big version..
have you tried razer viper yet?
I ended up with a g502 wireless
@Fooah: Same.
I've used the 502 Proteus Core, then 'upgraded' to the G900 and G902, only to go back to the G502 Lightspeed.
Can't beat that shape IMO.
My hands are fairly big. I use the g903 and it's comfortable and light, wireless aswell. Been the best mouse upgrade from a g502 for me so far.
Nah haven't tried the viper yet.
Did feel like the 502 was way too small for my hand though so I'm not sure about the others.
It's so subjective of course but I do have pretty big hands, and also really hate the thumb ramp thing
My hands are pretty big as well, I'd recommend having a look at Glorious model O. I'm on their wired version but they recently launched wireless as well.
Replaced my G504 with this mouse some time back, took me a while to get used to it and wasn't sure I liked it at the beginning. But now I love how light it is, and the wireless performance/battery life is great.
It's noticeably smoother in any game than G903 which is already a pretty good mouse. It's just a very nice mouse.
However after being a long time user of Logitech meeses I am getting sick of their terrible wear rates. It didn't help that I got the dreaded "double click problem" on my last G903 from last time but I'll probably repair it.
Ok thanks, not owning one I wasn't sure as many actions get mapped to specific keys so wondered how player's of these games used a gaming mouse of this type.
I purchased this mouse during the last special, couple of things I can report from a non-gamers perspective.
It seems to work really well on a lot of different surfaces which is great. Eg, works well on material, skin and even glass.
Battery life isn’t bad and I love the face you can use it while charging it up.
Only thing I absolutely despise is the LED lights in the mouse. Mostly becuase no matter what I try, it seems when you move the mouse with the PC switched off they light up for 5-10 seconds (even if the profile says no LED light).
Its super annoying as I have my laptop on my desk next to my bed, and the mouse is roughly where I have my phone on charge. So sometimes I’ll accidentally bump the mouse during the night and the damn thing lights up like a light show with bright blues etc which light up the room and trigger my brain to start waking up. I’ve resorted to having to specifically put the mouse away before going to sleep which sucks.
Apart from that is a pretty decent mouse. I don’t game so can’t comment on performance.
For how inconvenient that sounds, surely you can just switch the mouse off when done for the night lol…
Yeah possibly, but like it’s an extra step every night and morning for a software problem that shouldn’t exist.
I did put tape over the LEDs, but they are also the low battery warning lights so not idea.
Was just mentioning as it’s obviously not listed anywhere else and honestly I would have chosen a different mouse.
You can disable the lights in the G suite software. No matter how much I move mine, it does not light up. The only time it does is when it's on low battery or when I plug it in to charge.
I am not 100% sure how I did it, but in G suite if you click the mouse picture itself, there's then 3 buttons down the side. The bottom opens 'Lightsync', which then has two tabs - Primary and Logo. You can change 'Effect' in each of them to off.
You can also click the cog in the top-right, and then select 'my gear' and then click the mouse. You'll see some options in the bottom-left - DPI lgihting, Device startup effect and low battery mode. You can modify these, I the firs two unticked and low battery mode set to 'off'.
Lastly, in the 'app settings' tab in the same cog area, you can untick 'allow games and applications to control illumination'.
You may have to sync this to your mouse, or make it a persistent profile. The application is really goddamn badly designed, but if you poke around it is possible to completely disable the lighting.
Been waiting for this to come up again and just put my order in. Thanks for posting OP!
I'm coming from a Logitech Prodigy G403 Wired, which is an excellent mouse but I've wanted to cut the cord for a while now.
I've read that newer batches of these G Pro Wireless, come with the new switches in them the same as the Superlight. So in theory, double-clicking shouldn't be a problem that develops anymore. Fingers crossed!
I'm currently in the Razer ecosystem.
I briefly had a G915 and loved the Lightsync for games, especially Battlefield V.
Anyone know if Razer has something similar with Chroma studio? I've looked but can't find anything.
If it doesn't, I'm probably gonna switch, but waiting for them to go USB-C and have PBT keycaps
Not superlight. Not worth 145.
At this price, the Razer Viper Ultimate is a lighter, cheaper option. Also has optical switches, meaning its impossible to have double click issue unlike the g pro
Logitech shop has it for 142 thru amazon
Just FYI that they are an Amazon reseller "Logitechshop", and this is their website: https://www.logitechshop.com.au/
A little bit misleading, but I've never bought from them so don't know how legitimate they are.
weirdly enough i have bought directly from them and i got a legit product + fast delivery. Have had experience with a few "brand" resellers and for some reason never had any strife.
Wouldn't have blind confidence, just thought I'd mention there was a cheaper price
Edit: Only 5 reviews here but can back up the positive reviews https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/logitechshop-com-a…
I recall, when it first started, it was from the same people as fluidtek, not sure if it's changed since then.
All products were legit.
Have this mouse and absolutely love it, I've tried many different others but this is top tier 👌
Had the g703 which I think is similar to this but with a 16k sensor. Might be a better budget option on special.
