+1. I detest white onion, or any type when it's not given a good few minutes frying. Raw or fried white onion causes a nasty reflux in my throat/chest that lasts 12-24 hours, whereas I'd be fine eating a plate full of fried brown onion. Oh and it's disgusting talking to someone who has eaten raw onion…. they smell like they've been eating scraps from the local garbage dump. Kissing someone who has eaten it raw is even worse. I usually remove it.
