  • Be CAREFUL…

    Some similar looking tools have SCRATCHED the top of my notebook computer & its screen.

    It may have been the particular product & their designer's / maker's choice of bristle material(s),
    but - if they pick the wrong one(s) - your screen & other plastic surfaces could be a risk of SCRATCHES.

    Buyer beware… Maybe test it on a display unit of the -same- model item (that you plan to clean) before buying the tool.

    • Lens Pen is the original "lens pen" and supposed to be the good shit. My friend had told me that most similar tools are rebadges lens pens, but that there's also plenty of imitations going around. Being that this is original Lens Pen I've got faith in it (take care though!).

    Per your earlier directions, I've:
    - contacted your staff via the website to have it sorted and was ignored
    - rung up, been on the queue, left a message with number (per the invite while on the queue) and then been ignored

    (Message said I could press a number, leave my number, my position in the queue would be tracked and when my position got to the front of the queue, staff would call me)

    What is going on? Why wasn't my call even returned?

    • Phone call was received late afternoon of the next day.

      I thought the Rep might apologise for not returning my call, when they said they would.

      No.

      Instead the rep started hammering me for the above post, insisting I must say I was too harsh.
      Note: I'd tried contacting them via their website, telephone a couple of times and had no success.

      He insisted he had no record in his system, of me communicating with them via their website.
      When pushed, he said, they didn't return my call, when the message got to the front of the queue, because they were too busy and that's just how it is (despite telling you they will definitely call you back, as soon as your message gets to the front of the queue).

      So, he was trying to tell me it was harsh to say they were dodging my warranty claim … rather, it looks like they don't bother with many calls :S Which sounds less impressive.

      I said to him, fine, now what are you going to do?

      He tells me he doesn't know, after all, we are now outside the warranty period.
      (This after telling me, they are not trying to dodge a warranty claim … :S)

      He keeps insisting I'm being too harsh and I'm a mod on this site.
      (But other members have reported bad dealings with companies and we can verify these dealings so it gets to stand)

      He also tells me that he works hard on the company image.
      (and I know this guy angers members and was out looking for a fight in public on one of his deals - off topic comments )

      He tells me that he is going to send me a replacement during the week anyways. Then says, hey, I said I was going to send a replacement so you must retract your comment.

      I have to go at that point and let him know I'll review my comment when I get back onto OzBargain. He accepts that.


      In the end, nothing was sent.

      So, if you have no warranty issues you are probably fine.
      If you do have a warranty, then if you get the same service I got, you've wasted your money and are in for an unpleasant experience.

      Also, if you have any issues, don't make the same mistakes I made and trust they are going to get back to you in time (or keep it on a list of things to do, so you don't forget to chase them :S )

        Sorry to hear your experience.
        I do feel that they are reluctant to communicate.
        From my experience, I agree they offer Lenspen at a good price. But they never mentioned that they need more than a week to dispatch the item. I'm not desperate for the item at all. But it would be much nicer if they could take the initiative and send a group email to everyone who made the purchase and inform the delay. I don't think it'd be a big effort for them, but it certainly will make the difference.

          I guess if he'd handled it differently, maybe if he'd kept the promise to deliver something, I wouldn't have felt the need to vent about it :S

          I'm glad you got your product in the end. I do agree, if there was a delay, they could've mass e-mailed about it. :S

    And funny how once the free shipping is over the prices have dropped by $1 and $0.55

  • Anyone bought this and actually received it?
    I ordered one last Friday morning. No shipping email so far, apart from an order confirmation.

          It says 'Our products are typically dispatched from our warehouse within 1 - 3 business days. ' on their website.
