AmEx No Longer Offering WISH Gift Card Redemptions?

So I went to redeem some AmEx points and suddenly the WISH gift card is no longer available on the rewards store?!

Anyone else had this experience?

Live chat told me they were "out of stock" but in my 10+ years of being an AmEx cardholder, I've never seen them "out of stock" before.

I feel like every year their rewards program is becoming worse.

I am still bitter for them removing the Australia Financial Review subscription for Platinum holders.

Now this….
I really need my WISH gift cards! I pay for my weekly grocery shop with them. Grrrr.

    Haven't you heard that there's transportation issues due to covid? Those virtual gift cards don't just walk in!

    Pretty sure I heard that Woolies are changing data providers for their cards, might have something to do with that

    Can't you just use the amex card at woolworths?
    Other option is double check the redemption rate. If the giftcard redemption rate is 2000 points for $10 and a statement redemption is also 2000 points for $10 just put the woolies spend onto the card and then use the points to pay off the statement line.

      Theoretically possible but doesn’t work with a corporate card situation.

    I just saw this as well - really don't want to change our weekly shop to use Coles (location just doesnt work for us) but will hand out for a bit to see if they return but I highly doubt it.

    I was pretty annoyed with the AFR being dropped off and replaced by The Australian.

    Last time I travelled around Australia the lounges were closed as well (at least I could user travel credit but their prices are higher anyway)

    Other than feeling cool having a metal card and the better points per dollar spent it isnt as good as it used to be…

      Yes the whole program has fallen off a cliff.
      We’ll be re-evaluating whether it’s worth keeping now.

    Hi @GourmetFoodie, i think you can still get Westfield gift card from AMEX which includes Woolies as participating store.
