  • Global warranty?

    • +7

      Xiaomi have no such thing.

  • About $10-20 cheaper than last month, which was $10-20 cheaper than last month, etc.

Will likely be $10-20 cheaper next month. Usual Ali strategy.

    • +1

Different stores so has nothing to do with AliExpress. The only reason this is cheaper is because the codes stack and the seller still have their pre-sale coupons active. The previous deals they don't stack or have higher prices.

  • Does it have Google services and apps

  • +1

This or the recent deal on the Samsung s7fe tab for $499 ?? (im not a gamer)

    • This, either way. Competes with the S7, not the S7 SE.

    • Same, don't want to mess around with apps not working or issues

  • +1

I would have bought this but the widevine issue is certainly something that just not easily fixed on many devices. Which is a damn shame as this device got some nice specs.

  • +2

Would jump all over this if it wasn't for the widevine issue also. Was eyeing off the s7fe or maybe a second hand iPad pro/gen 9. Too many to decide haha!

  • This has Google Play installed and no problem installing any games on it?

    • Yep that's correct.

      • You know if they can send by DHL or something faster?

        • Unfortunately it only has "AliExpress Standard Shipping" so the seller will send it to the AliExpress distribution warehouse where 'AI' will work out the best method of shipping it to you. It's a bit of a lottery on what they'll use but if they end up going for ePacket you could see it in 2-3 weeks potentially.

          • @Clear: The price is exclusive to Gshopper AliExpress and not the Australian warehouse?

            • @mt2000: I'd say so as it's not available on gshopper.com and the SPRING coupon is honoured by AliExpress.

  • This vs the Lenovo Pad Pro? 860 vs 870 etc.

    • Yeah I was comparing these 2 tablets as well. But I think the Xiaomi Pad 5 is better and cheaper?

    • +2

This gives you a comparison of the 860 vs 870 with benchmarks of actual games further down. It's not a massive jump in my opinion.

I'd say the Xiaomi is better a few reasons. Lenovo is using a cheap Pentile OLED display, like bottom of the barrel OLED so the display in the Xiaomi looks so much better.

Xiaomi also have a better track record of updates than Lenovo and there should be more custom ROMs in future. Currently there is an unofficial Global ROM and a port of pure stock Android for Xiaomi. Lenovo has nothing.

      • +1

Yes exactly my thought on the updates and every things else you said.

Thanks Clear. I just place an order for the white. Well since only white are left and I don't mind white LOL

EDIT: This replace my very veryyyyy old Tab S

  • Looks like only white available now :(

  • Now where a good place to buy screen protector and a case?

  • Looks like this is eligible for 20% CB! https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/686232
    But I think $50 cap
