Was interested in the green one but it's over $100 more so I thought I'd get this. Hopefully the shipping isn't too long.

I've been watching it for a little while and normally is around $300.

edit: @mickyb80 points out it's cheaper here and they have more colours: https://www.mastersintime.com/au/en/g-shock-metal-covered-ca…

reviews seem mixed but may be worth a shot.

  • Loving the G-Shock. Just picked up a GMW-B5000 and I am converted.

Same, just got a GAE-2100-RC and it pushed me over the edge to get this as well haha.

oh wow thats very nice! a bit of colour splash gives it a playful fun vibe for a workday wear.

  • Oos

    • Yeah you can still order it though. I put back order in the title so hopefully that's ok

  • Are watches like these primarily a fashion statement these days?

No offense intended, I'd just like to understand the motivation to buy (as someone who used to love his watch collection, pre-smartwatch).

    • Yes pretty much

    • +2

They're pretty respected in the watch community. Casio makes good watches

Is your favourite time two minutes to midnight?

        • I see what you did there

    • I'm not into watches at all - haven't worn one in years and years - but this one made me look a second time and click on it for a better look.

      • i understand the appeal, for sure - but at this price it's not a casual purchase.

        • Yes it's that awkward in-between price where you need to think about and be sure you'll use it but after 12 months you really won't care to much either way lol

        • Yeah I looked but I sure won't be buying. (Not just the price - just the idea of wearing something on my wrist again - ugh.)

      It's a God-tier watch!

      • Marketing genius right there ;p

  • Got the blue one previously. It is very nice

  • Missed it :'(
What do you guys think of the $95 Ticfrog Pattek lookalikes? No info on the case sizes but the dials actually look damn nice based on the photos esp for a $95 watch.
Be nicer with no branding and automatic movement though.

    • hmm, thanks…

if it were just for the price I would stick with amazon but they actually have the colour I originally wanted so I cancelled on amazon and I'll give it a shot…

    • Nice! That's the black one I especially like, I'll have to have a closer look at the website when I get home and maybe put in an order.

  • Thought it looks like a Royal Oak for a second.

I received my green casioak from mastersintime. It took about 2-3 weeks to arrive. I love it. Tempted to get the silver next.

    • Did you have to pay VAT for that purchase?

      • No the price you see is the price you pay

  • Do you guys know if you can replace the band's to metal ones with these versions?

    • +1

I haven't been able to find any which look like they would work on Ali. With the ga-2100 you replace the bezel as well and I think the bracelet interfaces with that.

Edit: actually this might work but not many sales
