Just wondering I have some rather expensive parts and well urgent uni text books all from overseas. I do not care if it's delayed such is life. But if stuff has been washed away should I start lodging paperwork and reordering stuff.
Are Auspost/UPS Depots under Water in Queensland?

Sorry it was horribly worded. It's what I'm trying to figure out either way I don't care I just want to be kept in the loop.
I presume international parcels should be reasonably well tracked so they should know where they are.
High & dry or in a flooded warehouse.
No I'm just trying to figure out if any depots were physically submerged in water.
Auspost website only says some post offices will close.
News made seem like all of Brisbane is 6ft under and I know from when we had major flooding they just took videos from one of the few streets went under with a few houses built on a flood plain. While 99% of the town was fine. No doubt this is worse I just don't trust media to paint a honest picture.
But I presume lands at a premium and likely may be built on a flood plain.
I was kinda hoping a local or someone familiar with brissy go nah it's not that bad in most of the industrial areas or what else have you.
Or even just for auspost to just stop sending me generic emails “your item may be delayed“
Just tell me it's safe awaiting a truck & roads to open. Hell tell me parcel deliverys are on hold while there trucks are redirected to deliver food I don't care. Just a non generic email would be ideal.
It might be weeks before you find out, if its really urgent then might be best to reorder if money is no object.
Cant you get your uni books from a local uni supplier, or hire them from Zookal?
Were the goods insured?
The postal service doesn't have to provide compensation unless it specifically says so in the t&c.
The uni text books are damm hard to find in Australia mainly cause good old CQU uses text books no longer in print. The other one is just as hard to find and magicly cqu has it but it's $250 in Australia like $25 in the states. In Australia it's $700 worth of text books I payed $40us for all 3 then sent them over here with some other stuff from myus.com
Then there is $3000 worth of Harley parts
Shouldn't they be up front with were our stuff is. So be it if it's lost, so far I can't find any mention of any of there warehouses being effected let alone damaged.
There quick to say post offices that are closed or effected why not say that some warehouse may of suffered damage.
I don't want to wait weeks then for them to go yea about your stuff it was in xxx warehouse that went under a month ago.

Then just order a second set.
Worst case you'll be able to sell them via a uni notice board with zero issue and probably make a profitI'm sure you'll make a profit, from what you said, even if you only double the price.
Where does the tracking say they are?
a bunch of generic "delay in delivery due to weather or unexpected circumstances" then 5 days ago "left carrier facility"
Hasn't been much flooding at Brisbane Airport which is where the majority of Aus Post storage will be. Major highways have been closed though so there will be big delays and backlogs.
perfect thats all i wanted to know.
How can you know if it's been washed away or of it is fine and just delayed?
