Harris Scarfe 12L air fryer - any good? Or any good ~$120 alternatives?

Looking for an airfryer and came across this 12L Smith & Nobel one from Harris Scarfe which is $119 reduced from $199.

Does anyone know if it's any good or is there a better one I can get around that price?

I think the one thing that might be missing would be a good chip basket.

The thing about Harris Scarfe is, especially for kitchenware products, to ignore their RRP - they're always offering 40%-50% discounts throughout the year to make it feel like you're getting a bargain.

The air fryer in question looks very similar to the 'Thomson' brand recently sold by Coles in their Best Buys promotion and is $20 cheaper. Different colour but has the same specs and features, even the LED panel looks identical. Likely produced by the same manufacturer but branded under a different name.

Although a newer Best Buys catalogue just came out, older un-sold stock is usually left in the Best Buys section for a week or two after the promotion or until sold out, so it's worth checking/calling your nearest Coles stores which stock the Best Buys promotions (list of VIC stores are on page 7 of the catalogue).

Thank you for this! Didn't realise that this was a common Harris Scarfe ploy and saved me the trouble!

To be honest after a while you can't be bothered with using the chip basket as it's a pain.
You'll end up laying them flat on a tray and cooking them. This has the added advantage of being able to cook multiple things at once.

The tray at the bottom I use as a drip tray. I put it as low as it will go & I line it with tinfoil
