$10 more than last deal, but still the cheapest I can find anywhere ($329 at Umart, $399 at CentreCom )

Within an hour after ordering, I was able to C&C at BPC's Mt Waverley warehouse.
I think BPC might offer free shipping as well (you can verify when checking out).

Heres a comprehensive review done by Tweaktown = https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/9725/corsair-mp600-core-2t…

Final thoughts were quite positive!

  • Looks like just under the spec required for a PS5?

    • I think it should work with a PS5. Its a Gen4x4 M.2 NVMe SSD, with a Key M socket type.

I dont own an PS5, so maybe someone who does can verify?

This and it has to be above a certain speed, "Sequential read speed 5500 MB/s or faster is recommended"

        • +1

More importantly, I think the taller height of the heatsink on the MP600 means that either you have to leave the NVMe bay cover off the PS5 chassis, or remove and replace the MP600 one with a lower aftermarket one.

Check various reviews and videos of those who have tested this drive, both for speed compatibility and also where they've experimented with the heatsink/cover.

Recommended is different to required, from any reviews I've read there aren't any games that it causes issues with being under the 5500 MB/s.

Granted, that doesn't mean it won't happen in some future title, but right now it's not an issue.

I've been using this drive for a few months in my PS5 and have had no issues with gaming.
The read speed read at or above the required spec when first initialised with the PS5.
I'm using it with the included heatsink and have left the M.2 cover off and have had no temp issues.

The only 'issue' that I have noticed (and reviewers have stated this also) is the transfer time from the PS5's drive to the MP600 Core.
It isn't slow by any means, but larger transfers do take a bit longer than on a higher end drive.

Would definitely recommend for this price!

Seems like a good price for a 2TB gen4 SSD.

      QLC PCIe gen 4 SSD.

  • Can this be used to upgrade the ssd in a lenovo IdeaPad S540? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/578125

Not surw what to look for when it comes to SSDs.

    Thanks in advance

      Did some more reading.
I think I can use this but won't benefit from the faster speed since the s540 is a pcie 3.0x4 and this is a gen 4 ssd.

I'm better off getting something compatible like the Samsung 970 EVO plus. Now to check if I can use a 2tb ssd, since the pdf from lenovo says storage support is "One drive, up to 1TB M.2 2280 SSD". Would anyone know if I can use a 2tb, or has anyone upgraded theirs to a 2tb?

    Thanks OP, grabbed one.

  • any cheaper gen 3 alternatives ?

    • the MP400, but its the same price as the MP600 on the BPC site. The Crucial P2 is also decent

  • Can they be installed in a thin laptops. Would heatsink come in way?
