Delivery Times Grays Online Sales

Greetings all, just trying to ascertain the typical service from Grays Online. I'm now on a second order, - the first I had to contact them to complain as to the slow despatch of a Hi-Fi unit.

Again 8 days after the purchase of another Hi-Fi unit still no despatch notice, let alone actual delivery that's a paid one - not a freebie!.

What is the experience of others, or am I an odd one out for this level of service?

  • These items were "in stock" and sold on a fixed price basis, not an open auction environment!. This is another sales channel, not
    connected with true "Open Auctions" that happen from time to time.

    I would have expected that the dispatch email would have been sent within 3/4 days, and not 8 day's and still nothing!.

  • Yeah that's pretty terrible.
    I bought a laptop at auction and I reckon it was shipped within the week

  • I get the covid impact, but how hard is it to ship a package the size of two shoe boxes in less than 8 day's, am I asking too much?.

  • My initial purchase experience with Grays is pretty bad - similar to hasselbladsnapper, I purchased a case of wine at fixed-price (non-auction) over two weeks ago and still no sign of any dispatch notification!

    Any communication with their 'customer service' team seems to take at least a couple of days to get a response (no apparent option to call them, only email), and most responses are a generic "we'll get back to you" type thing.
