Along with the 5x $50 Parents vouchers and $100 First Lap vouchers…

NSW residents aged 18 and over can apply for 1 x $50 voucher to use towards the cost of accommodation bookings.

From 21 February, the Stay NSW Vouchers are being released by Local Government Area (LGA) over a 2-week period.

NSW residents aged 18 and over will need to check their address before applying for the vouchers.

By early March, the vouchers will be available across the state.

Check the list of Local Government Areas to find out when you can apply for the voucher.

Eligibility

To apply you must:

  • be aged 18 years or over
  • be a NSW resident living in an eligible Local Government Area (LGA).

If the vouchers are not currently available in your area, you can apply for them by early March, when they'll be available across the state.

You can use the Stay NSW voucher:

  • 7 days a week, including public holidays
  • at participating NSW businesses that are registered to accept Stay NSW Vouchers
  • until 9 October 2022.

  • Pretty useless a lot interstates places cannot be used. The search is also beyond a joke

    • +1

Well of course you can’t use it interstate; it’s a NSW thing.

Unless you mean intrastate (or regional)

  • Can we use 2x$50 to book an accommodation. my partner and myself got 1 each.

    • Ok so it's not per family but per person?

    • +1

Yes you should be able to

  • How would you use this with expedia?

    • I dont think you can.
Since this is NSW specific, im doubtful some of those travel sites will work (but still hopeful they will accommodate this)

You'll just have to search via websites :
      https://mybusiness.service.nsw.gov.au/business-finder/stay-a…
      https://nswdnd.ngpriest.com/stay.php

But comments above seem to suggest there are platforms you can book online but pay the site directly, that would be the way to go. Not sure if expedia offers this.

    • Check my 2 week old map to see if the location accepts it?

Edit: Or check the other site for the latest version?

I got my previous vouchers with no issues. I had an error this time. Did anyone face this error?

    Error
    Please check the following errors:
Your MyServiceNSW Account details are incomplete, you will need to complete your personal details in your MyServiceNSW Account in order to continue.

    • +5

Yes, I got the same error.

After checking my personal details. I noticed that for some strange reason my residential address in MyServiceNSW account was missing the postcode from it.

I updated my residential address and then resubmitted the application and it went through without issue.

      • +2

Same, residential address was missing the postcode but the mailing address had the postcode…

    • Same here. I've updated all my details (with the same details seeing as nothing has actually changed) but I'm still getting the same error

Your MyServiceNSW Account details are incomplete or need to be reconfirmed, please review and update your personal details in your MyServiceNSW Account in order to continue.

      • Is your postcode missing?

        • It wasn't! I don't think it was anyway. But I just tried updating all details again (incl address) and it eventually worked. My partner had the same issue with the added bonus of "we are too busy at the moment, please try again later"

  • Need to call up the accomodation to book directly?

  • Seems like everyone's planning to book the cheapest accommodation they can whereas I'm trying to figure out if I can spend it all on one super expensive meal at a hotel lmao

    • +2

that is smart! Crown Epicurean Buffet!!

    • $50 is a super expensive meal?

      • +1

What can I say, I'm broke

      • -1

Obviously not for you Mr money bags

        • -1

Sorry didn’t mean to sound like a (profanity).
$50 just doesn’t go very far.

    • I think it's for stay only?

      • If hotels charge customers for meals the same way they do for accommodation then it should be fine, I'm guessing? Planning to call ahead to check first before I go.

        • I wont be so sure about that. Best to call ahead first or you could end up going there and have to leave empty handed. Or empty stomach. /s

Merged from Stay NSW Update Personal Details

Stay NSW application keeps saying "Your MyServiceNSW Account details are incomplete or need to be reconfirmed, please review and update your personal details in your MyServiceNSW Account in order to continue." when apply.
I tried to update details but keeps coming up with the same message.

Anyone have ideas what's the issue?

    • +8

I had this issue today when applying to the Stay.
It's the address they want you to 'update'.
Even though the address is already there and complete, once you update it to be the exact same address (that was already there), it'll let you submit the application.

      • yes, you are totally right. i experienced the same issue and update the address

      • I think this should be added to the OP

  • Thanks OP

  • Booked in with hotel for this Saturday but they are having an error when trying to redeem the voucher “this voucher is invalid please try again”.. happening to both of the vouchers I’m trying to redeem

    • if you don't mind me asking - which hotel did you manage to book using the voucher?

      • A independently owned hotel in Wollongong. You can view the hotels accepting them on the service nsw website Here

    • Did you have to fork out since the vouchers dont work?

  • I have two vouchers (expiring Mar 22, Oct 22), anyone knows if I can stack the two on a single stay?

    • Yes I should be able to stack 2 at once

  • Anyone found good place to stay? I was looking at Blue Mountains and cheapest I found was $650 a night :)
