Recently received a Newsletter from ShoppingExpress and noticed the above deal for the Toshiba Ultrabook. Have previously bought a laptop from ShoppingExpress and from experience, this is a reliable seller with competitive pricing.

Have been looking around for an Ultrabook and to the best of my knowledge, $1,469 is a good price for the listed Toshiba ultrabook.

Offer expires 23:59pm 22 April 2012

Postage (to Sydney):
$8.75 (eParcel) $29.95 (AusPost+Insurance)

Total cost:
$1,477.75 (eParcel) or 1,498.95 (AusPost+Insurance)

Looks like they post across Australia (although I suspect there may be differences in postage depending on where you would like it to be delivered to)

$400 cheaper at centrecom (deal posted a few bargains down).
Not a bargain at all :S

I believe that was the i5 version - this is the i7

      • My mistake it seems. Just saw the Z830 part and figured they would be the same (like just about every other computer that isn't an ultrabook).
$400 for an i7 over an i5 is crazy though.

  • Im not sure about the prices generally on THIS particular ultrabook. but for only 128gb SSD. i believe you can get better value from zenbook or dell xps13.

  • Who spends over a grand for windows a notebook now a days ?

Aware the Fan does make noise even with the Bios update.
