So I grabbed one of those 128GB Crucial SSD's that Amazon were selling a few weeks back. When it arrived it did not work. It kept saying the partition table was corrupted. Updating firmware didn't help. Sent it back to Amazon with a replacement request. However, as they don't ship these things to Aus anymore they instead refunded me the price minus AUD$30 from what they call a "Restocking Fee". Does anyone know what this fee is for? Should I chase Amazon up with this?

Let us all know how well Amazon resolve this for you Lymon, the outcome may impact many OzB'ers decisions to buy some electronic/IT gear from Amazon?
Yes, I thought others might benefit from hearing about this. I have been a bit lazy in chasing this up, but I will let you know how it plays out.
Just confirming that amazon did give me a full refund. No further issues. :)
Great to hear, thank you for the update Lymon! :)
I don't think they should be charging you the restocking fee as the drive was faulty.
