I have a PC built in 2019 with i7 8700 32GRam Radeon RX580, 4K mon.
Thinking should I just upgrade the graphic to 3060ti or get a PS5 for gaming? play Geshin Impact most of the time, but the old RX580 is hardly support it @4K 60Hz
PS5 from gumtree is around $950 so price are similar
You can get the 3060ti, then sell off the RX580 on Gumtree/FB Marketplace (granted it is still working properly). Will shave $250-$500 off the total cost, depending on the model you have.
Up to you, OP. If you want to get into console gaming and you don't really use/plan to use the PC for much else, go for the PS5. If you want to play future AAA games on your PC, go for the 3060ti.
3060 Ti is just over 2x faster than RX580 at 4k ;)
Is that worth $1000, or do you want a completely separate console (they are kinda a completely different thing)!
Is the RX580 4GB or 8GB? Should get $300 for it if it's 8GB.
And do you prefer KBM or controller?
Comes down to whatever else you play/do as well. If you only play that game, get whatever fits you best for that game. I have a PC and play from the couch because it's a cheaper option with game pass, cheap bundles, steam sales and free epic games.
With a little effort you can secure a ps5 at retail cost pretty easily. Dont buy from the Gumtree scalpers. Have twitter alerts turned on, have accounts premade for the major retailers and be ready to go.
Do you prefer PC or console gaming? That is the real question here, and is a matter of personal taste.
I've been using my ps5 more than my PC atm currently running a 1080 gpu, I find there's too many hackers on PC multi player and games like Horizon Zero dawn, Uncharted remastered all coming out on Console plus it looks glorious on my 77c1 OLED
If the 3060ti doesn't support scalpers, go with that. I'd say go with it anyway because PS5 exclusives are making their way to PC anyways.
