Highly rated adventure/puzzle game, known for its impressive visuals and immersive experience. Great game to show to people who are new to VR, but it is a relatively short game.

Description:

Moss™ is a single-player action-adventure puzzle game from Polyarc tailor-made for the VR platform. It takes classic components of a great game—such as compelling characters, gripping combat, and captivating world exploration—and combines them with the exciting opportunities of VR.

In Moss, players meet Quill, a young mouse with dreams of greatness beyond the confines of her settlement. While exploring the woods, she finds a mysterious Glass Relic and an ancient magic is awakened. With her uncle now in grave danger, Quill must embark on an epic journey—and she needs you there by her side. Together, you'll travel to forgotten realms, solve challenging puzzles, and battle menacing enemies. Alone, no one can conquer what you're up against. But united, you just may defeat even the darkest of villains.

  • Thanks for this, bought. But I can't see anywhere to change graphics settings. This is the Quest 2 version (as Moss sadly isn't CrossBuy) so perhaps you're referring to the Rift version of Moss?

    • Yes, your right, sorry. I was reading some reviews and someone mentioned it, but they must have been referring to the PCVR version.

    • It is possible to increase texture quality in Quest games using sidequest.

      • I mean it's possible, of course, but whether anyone can be bothered to set all that up or not is a different story.

        • +1

If you like to tinker under the hood a bit it's pretty basic. Just need to set your account up as developer (easy) and Install sidequest on PC, connect your quest via USB, go into sidequest settings and select default texture size. Apparantly recent firmware of Oculus has prevented this change from working in the Home screen, but I think it still works in games.

Texture setting reverts back to default if you switch off the quest or run out of power.

          • @Gravy: Oh nice, I assumed it may need a whole new texture pack installed as they try to keep file sizes down on the quest 2! Sorry!

  • Got this game on PSVR it's one of my favourites. One of the best VR games.
